Title

Hi @Lugnuts:, You are expert in creating the articles related to cricket. So, please tell me why this series title is named to Australian cricket team in Sri Lanka in 2022 instead of Australian cricket team in Sri Lanka in 2021—22 . Fade258 (talk) 06:34, 25 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! Because the tour is in June/July 2022. The international years run (approx) Sept 21 to April 22 for 21/22 and May to Aug for 2022. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 06:35, 25 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
For example, If Nepal tour UAE in 2023 between the months of May to August, then the article title would be Nepalese cricket team in UAE in 2023. Am I right? Fade258 (talk) 06:44, 25 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, that's right. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 06:58, 25 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
If series starts from April and ends in May then on that case what we would do while naming the title? Fade258 (talk) 07:02, 25 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
A series starting in April (2022) would normally be played in the Southern Hemisphere (probably South Africa, Zimbabwe or Sri Lanka), and would be part of the 21/22 year, in this example. If it was a series starting in April, but played in England, it would be in the 2022 year, although the English international summer tends to start in May.
