Map

The positions of Letterkenny and Lifford on the map are incorrect. Letterkenny is further west at the end of Lough Swilly - not on the River Foyle. Lifford is further north than indicated, roughly where Letterkenny is now located on the left bank of the Foyle, just north of the confluence of the Rivers Mourne and Finn. The positions of the other towns are roughly correct. The battle took place on the banks of the River Swilly, a few miles west-south-west of the Letterkenny. I would correct these errors myself but I don't know how to amend map images! Mia-etol (talk) 17:17, 11 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for noting this. I've used the co-ordinates provided by Geohack; Letterkenny was incorrect but the ones provided for Lifford seem to be the same. Robinvp11 (talk) 18:56, 11 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Date

John J Silke's source states that the battle took place on 21 JULY, not 21 June... SkywalkerEccleston (talk) 11:19, 14 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
