Naming

Previously the article was titled Barry Island Resort now it's been renamed Butlins Barry Island while both names were applied to the camp the only cover part of it's lifespan perhaps we should consider Barry Island (Holiday Camp) with redirects from the Previous two? Stuart.Jamieson (talk) 17:11, 26 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Agree, although we should wait for any other editors' views, as it was only recently moved here. Five days should be enough. Daicaregos (talk) 14:52, 26 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

New Cites

Given the potential to move from Start Class to C Class, I've found secondary sources which are probably where the original tertiary cites were taken from and replaced all the dead sites with these new ones. Stuart.Jamieson (talk) 19:13, 13 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Move discussion in progress

There is a move discussion in progress on Talk:Penychain (holiday camp) which affects this page. Please participate on that page and not in this talk page section. Thank you. —RM bot 16:01, 31 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Chairlift

Just thought I'd mention the Barry Island chair lift[1]

General reference info here [2] There are some pictures here, but I don't think there are any that don't require some sort of copyright issue ? [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] [8]

I feel like I've already mentioned this once ona talk page but I can't find that so maybe I just imagined it - anyway that's all I have apart from that I originally noticed it existed by spotting the words 'ropeway' or something similar on a AZ map book of cardiff - that just about included Barry. After it's use was criticised on the Redcoats article, I tend to be judicious in my use of Butlins Memories as a source and would recommend "Scott, Peter (February 2001). A History of the Butlin's Railways. ISBN 1 902368 09 6." which covers all forms of Butlins Transport including chairlifts - That said; with the current length of the article only a small paragraph on the chairlift would be appropriate in regards to WP:UNDUE Stuart.Jamieson (talk) 16:46, 13 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
