Cent (unit) → ? – The current name is unsuitable due to the presence of Cent (music). Furthermore, a cent isn't really a "unit" (of measurement) any more than a half is. I just can't think of a good name, though. Any suggestions? BDD (talk) 21:07, 28 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Maybe just delete (i.e. redirect) the article per WP:NOTDICT. It's really not more than a couple of dictionary definitions strung together. The info can be incorporated into the cent disambiguation page like this:

Measurement

Cent is an informal name for 1100 of a unit of measurement, as in "12 cents of an inch". Specifically, it can refer to:

  • an alternative name for the point, a unit of mass for gemstones equal to 1100 of a carat
  • a unit of land area equal to 1100 of a acre

Music

  • Cent (music), a logarithmic measure of relative pitch or intervals
I think that covers about all of the unique content in the article. —  AjaxSmack  22:53, 28 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Good idea. --BDD (talk) 23:40, 28 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Merging

With respect to BHG, consensus above seems pretty clear for AjaxSmack's solution. Per WP:NOTBURO and WP:BOLD, I'll carry it out. --BDD (talk) 17:23, 5 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
