Requested page move
(As per nomination in WP:RQM.) --MCB 00:45, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
- Support. The official investigation refers to it as China Airlines Flight 642 (CI642); the registration lookup on AirDisaster.com refers to China Airlines; and the flight was marketed as CI642. The only connection with Mandarin is that the aircraft was assigned from the Mandarin fleet and painted in Mandarin's livery; Mandarin is owned by China Airlines. --MCB 00:45, 24 September 2006 (UTC)

QAR
Could someone please define this term? (in the second sentence of the Investigation section). -- Flyguy649 talk 03:34, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
Crosswind component
The article implies that the crosswind was 36 knots (gusting), but that is inaccurate. The runway heading was 250 deg while the wind was out of 320 deg. This is a gusting crosswind component of 27.5 kts. (see http://www.aeroplanner.com/calculators/avcalcdrift.cfm?wdd=320&ws=36&rdd=270&calculate=Calculate&hw=&xw=) I'm removing the inflammatory statement until it's reworded. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nishantman (talk • contribs) 02:33, 4 July 2012 (UTC)
