Cooley Surname

I changed the opening sentence from "Cooley is of Irish origin" to "Cooley is a surname primarily of Anglo-Saxon and of Irish origin. However, there are many antecedents to the Cooley surname originating in many European nations."

Actually this seems to be a rather useless Wikipedia page, and, since the disambiguation project started in 2008, it hasn't made much headway.

And, I might question, does the idea of disambiguation really apply to a surname? I think not since the name "Cooley" or any other surname by itself is not ambiguous [(1) Open to two or more interpretations; or of uncertain nature or significance; or (often) intended to mislead (2) Having more than one possible meaning] Dangnad (talk) 00:23, 15 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
