Bias in Article

This article includes many positive facts about CSIR, but many of the details lack proper references. In recent years, CSIR has been involved in much of the scandals around corruption in India and why despite high levels of funding there are not many patents or profitable inventions coming out of CSIR and its labs. Why is this? Petemclaren (talk) 11:06, 4 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Reasons for deleting section on "How to get into CSIR Research Institutes"

These were my reasons:

  • No explaination of what was wanted: online access or physical visitor access or how to get employed by CSIR or what?
  • Very poorly expressed comments such as "u can get de telephone numbers from the official web site n write to the director" and "student visits should be attested by de head of department" have no place in any Wikipedia article. Such comments should be made on the Discussion page and should use good English.

English please

I made some fixes here. Please rewrite it in English, e.g.

Budget

3098 Crore as of 2013 [1]

Zezen (talk) 08:01, 20 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

First introductory paragraph :

in the year 1942, it was the British Raj and India got the Independence only in 1947.

Thus, referring to DSIR or the Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, as of the year of reference, viz., 1942 would not be proper, as they did NOT exist then " as such."

A revision of the textual content is advisable. 68.197.64.240 (talk) 13:23, 14 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
