D sharp vs. E flat
D sharp is very rarely enountered in actual practice, E flat very commonly encountered; might it not be more in keeping with music as it is actually written and performed to redirect D♯ to E flat than E flat to D♯ as is currently the case? This would be even more the case with B flat and A♯. Robert Greer (talk) 17:10, 16 December 2007 (UTC)
- D sharp is not rare at all. In the system of scales and chords, enharmonic notes do have different meanings. (Depending on the kind of tuning system used, it could even be an other pitch.) Wikispaghetti (talk) 16:38, 15 August 2012 (UTC)
