Under section "Game show host," 3rd word of following sentence is incorrect.
Entertainment Weekly created Clark's "quietly commanding presence" as a major factor in the game show's success.
Context suggests this should instead be:
Entertainment Weekly credited Clark's "quietly commanding presence" as a major factor in the game show's success.
Pushing Dick Clark's profit from older musicians
Left out of this article is that Dick Clark at the ending of American Bandstand --was hawking older, previously popular singers from another generation to younger Bandstanders. This is presumed to be a monetary goal for Dick Clark and the musical acts. If the older "has-beens" could get a new hit, big payout for Clark
More Payola and other financial misdeeds
Clark's involvement in the payola scheme helped ruin another person's career: Alan Freed. From multiple sources Freed was thrown under the bus and took all the heat. From Paul Simon's own words, Dick Clark would have Paul's performance check signed over to him when Paul was around 16 years old.
I want to do more research on these issues and hopefully produce a quality well-referenced section.

- Right now, you don't have much in the way of RS. But I am not familiar enough with this to say what is out there (as far as sources) on this.Rja13ww33 (talk) 17:31, 23 September 2023 (UTC)
Adding "The Supremes" onto this site as The Supremes were on "Dick Clark's Caravan Of Stars when "Where Did Our Love Go?" went to number one on 22 August, 1964. The inclusion of The Supremes is tantamount to the contents and accuracy of Dick Clark's Bio on Wikipedia.
The Supremes are listed when so indicated and where they belong. Spenser - The Unknown (talk) 18:39, 15 September 2024 (UTC)
