Female genital mutilation in Emberá culture

This section is based on the 2015 article by Anastasia Moloney. However, the incident of the girl dying of genital mutilation occurred in 2012, not 2007, and the girl died of blood loss and not an infection. This rises substantial doubt about the accuracy of Ms. Moloney's work. At least it should be corrected.

Emberá living and dying in protest Bogotá Nacional Park.

Emberá living and dying in protest Bogotá, Colombia, Nacional Park. They have been forced out of their homes by violence and are 'living' in very unsanitary condiciones. There have been 39 reports of deaths so far, most recently 2 children. They are in a Park, made for people to pass through, maybe sit for a bit. Not live! There is no running water, no sanitation, no garbage disposal capable of acomodating 1000 plus people adequately.

It is very sad to see the plastic tent- like structures they live in.

I do not have factual informacion, just the little I see in person and read in the news. Therefore, I am not qualified to expand on this article, but I hope someone else isup to the chalenge. LunaCelestial (talk) 01:59, 28 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
