Rhyme or homophone?

Is Semoran a homophone of Cimarron, or does it merely rhyme with Cimarron? The controversy seems to revolve around the vowel in the first syllable; whether it is a near-close near-front unrounded vowel (as in Cimarron) or a close-mid front unrounded vowel (as in Seminole). The pronunciation of Seminole would seem to lead one to the latter conclusion, although local media pronounce it (to my ears, anyway) as the former. Is there a reliable source to resolve this controversy? -- SwissCelt 07:24, 21 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Probably should omit the sentence in question as there is no verifiable source available. In 20 years I have never heard anyone pronounce the first syllable of "Semoran" as a near/close near/front unrounded vowel, but I don't watch local news so there you go. 24.242.64.2 (talk) 11:36, 7 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

S.R. 436

This is one of the most accident prone roads in the country. It is packed with cars from start to finish and is currently under-construction at the Beachline junction and plans are under way to fly 436 over US 17-92 and fly SR 50 over US 17-92. Also the road has a junction with Toll Road 408. DJSEDISTICAL 00:52, 14 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
