Local Designation
you might consider that the locals refer to it as 'The Del', not as 'Del Coronado' —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.197.168.97 (talk) 03:18, 24 May 2009 (UTC)
- I agree, and made the change. Ljmajer (talk) 04:19, 25 May 2009 (UTC)
Grand Floridian inspiration
This hotel was the inspiration for Disney's Grand Floridian hotel. This should be added, yes? Considering it's Disney's flagship hotel in Walt Disney World? --Scottymoze 02:41, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
- Oh absolutely. If that's true and we can find a source for it, I don't see any reason not to add it at all. Roguegeek (talk) 07:27, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
- There's certainly a family resemblance. Grand Floridian compared to del Coronado Whyaduck 13:43, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
- My thought on the Grand Floridian question is that it is not pertinent to the encyclopedic value of the Hotel del Coronado article. If the article on the Grand Floridian wants to include this bit of trivia, fine... but why should the Hotel del article list all the copy-cats of its architecture? I suggest removing this from the article. Also, the info about the Bacara resort seems trivial, and not encyclopeic. I suggest removing it all together. ---- Ljmajer (talk) 01:35, 22 October 2008 (UTC)
Overhaul began
I have begun an overhaul of this article. For such a grand and important piece of San Diego's history, the article was very sparse. A lot of work yet to be done if this is to be assessed higher. ---- Ljmajer (talk) 07:04, 22 October 2008 (UTC)
Odd location
So, it is in Oregon, but the ocoordinates point it in the Southern Pacific Ocean? I of corrected it, hope that right —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.5.104.226 (talk) 20:54, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
It’s not in Oregon. It’s in the southern part of California near San Diego. Pf1127 (talk) 20:53, 1 April 2020 (UTC)
Causal
What is a causal restuarant? I'm guessing it is a typo for "casual", but I'm not confident enough to change the article. Maproom (talk) 11:45, 1 April 2009 (UTC)
Start or C class
This article is far better than start or c. Or have i been drinking too much? Will take a look when i'm sober, but have been having a day dealing with wikipedia bullshit and feeling very down on it, and stumbled across this (a friend of mine just in San Diego showed me a picture of the hotel and i was interested) and find, concisely and accurately, a whole story of the gilded age in the west told, and not shown. Stomach cancer???
Hey guys. I noticed that is says in the 'Notable Guests' section that it mentions Kate Morgan as having stomach cancer and refers to her husband as a doctor. I can't find another source that verifies that for them... I've found info that they were con artists, that she Tom, that Tom was a mailer carrier, all kinds of weird stuff. But never in any of that is there a mentioning of him as a doctor or her having stomach cancer.
Just thought I'd point it out. Thanks,(Agent Pink (talk) 02:02, 13 January 2010 (UTC))
Newest Renovations
The Del has undergone new remodeling of its beachfront villas, and removal of the tennis courts. Should this be included? —Preceding unsigned comment added by MNYljn4 (talk • contribs) 17:34, 15 April 2010 (UTC)
Grand Rapids Hotel
I removed recent additions to this article regarding the Grand Rapids Hotel, tagging it as vandalism. It wasn't, but I remove it as it doesn't pertain to this article (same goes for the Disney Floridian Hotel). Since there seems to be a number of copycat hotels, should adding paragraph regarding the Hotel Del as inspiration for other properties be considered? Ljmajer (talk) 05:31, 15 August 2011 (UTC)

Kate Morgan
In the notable guests section, it mentions that Kate Morgan checked into room 304, then says (then 3318, now 3327). When was it room 304? When was it room 3318? Was it room 304 or room 3318 when she was there? Does it mean that it was later changed to 3318, but is now 3327? ericxpenner (talk) 03:40, 13 September 2017 (UTC)

Room prices in infobox
I feel that information stating the price of a hotel room or villa at the Hotel del Coronado should be removed from the infobox, not only because these prices may fluctuate, but also due to policies stating that Wikipedia is not a directory or travel guide. Who agrees? Pf1127 (talk) 18:57, 1 April 2020 (UTC)
