Date of birth

IMDB states 30 Aug 1992. This matches age 17 in December 2009 as stated in BBC press packs.

An anonymous editor recently changed the year to 1990 referring to unspecified "online discrepencies" [sic] but I have reverted 1992 based on the above. – Fayenatic (talk) 09:57, 26 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The citation from the above source was unnecessary, so I have removed it. – Fayenatic London 08:18, 20 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

"She was the first actress of East Asian descent to play the lead role in a British television series..."

While there's technically nothing inaccurate about this sentence, I believe the lack of a "female" qualifier here can be misinterpreted to suggests that she is the first actor or actress of East Asian descent to play such a role. The first East Asian actor to play a lead role in a British TV series was actually David Yip in The Chinese Detective. I thought I'd bring this up in talk first as such a change is not likely to be without controversy, but I would suggest that "female actor" would be clearer in this context. @Jamyskis: it doesn't come across to me as misleading, but if you read it that way, feel free to change the word (perhaps just the first instance). – Fayenatic London 06:47, 10 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately the source does not support the claim. The source says "Henwick was the first East Asian actor to play the lead role in a British television series" It doesn't say 'actress' or 'female'. Adding that qualifier would be original research and is not substantiated by other sources. I'm removing this unsupported claim. And is partially of East-Asian descent now the same as actually being from East Asia? Kodabar (talk) 12:34, 2 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Is her mother Chinese or from Singapore?

e.g. german wikipedia says Singapore.

Her mother is ethnically Chinese, but her nationality is Singaporean. So in answer to your question, both.[1] — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A00:23C8:760C:3A01:5D14:5EE4:121E:8D8F (talk) 14:03, 23 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

- Soetermans If she's not eating, then she's been caught making a strange face. Her jaw does not seem to be that crooked lol. I am going to change it to this then, as it is 'objectively' better, as you say:
