The discursive material here on Puritanism is potentially quite misleading, and is unsourced in detail. The kind of Puritanism taught in some Cambridge colleges, under Elizabeth I, shouldn't be confused with a generalised conception. So the "Dissent" section should be brought down to the ground with historically-based facts. Charles Matthews (talk) 07:34, 28 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

King (then Prince of Wales) Charles 1 named the town of Plymouth from a chart given to him by John Smith. Wm Brewster left with those of Robinson's congregation on the Speedwell which then met up with the disparate group who first set out on Mayflower. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.213.69.130 (talk) 17:26, 8 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I would think it would be easier to mention how his son Issac was an important part of settlement of the new world

Yeah. His son issac was an important part of settlement of the new world. I wonder how many descendants he has. I know I am one of them? Maybe cover how settlement of the new World was impacted by him. 2600:1012:B1BA:7723:C80A:DFEA:821:73E3 (talk) 06:15, 23 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
