Grammar?

I have nothing actually relevant to add or comment on the article itself; however, I'm fairly sure the proper transliteration of this phrase would be "Majlis ash-Shura" considering how the Arabic letter Alef works. If I'm wrong, for any reason, please enlighten me.

It has nothing to do with the letter Alef, but with the letter Lam (L). The correct pronunciation is as you say, but both transliterations are commonly seen. Basically, an L is written in Arabic, but it isn't pronounced, so you can either go by spelling or pronunciation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 134.76.60.156 (talk) 16:51, 13 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
