Ring Shot Tournaments

I believe when this game was released, certain sponsors like Blockbuster, Mariotennis.com, and Nintendo Power (possibly others too) had special contests where a player could enter a long code into the game, which would then send the player to a specially set up ring shot match. The player would play the match, scoring as many points as possible, and at the end be given a new code which corresponded to how many points the player earned. The player would return with their code to the contest host to be ranked to see where they stand, and to possibly win a prize if s/he were good enough.
