Hi justinc. Nice article. :-) But after reading it, I get "itchy fingers" to create a WP:LEAD and maybe one or two body sections. ;-} sabre23t 03:11, 16 February 2006 (UTC)

good idea. Will look at how to split it. Justinc 10:04, 16 February 2006 (UTC)'

There seems to be an error in the link for the advertisement in Burkes Peerage. It doesn't appear with the article and clicking on the link brings up another blank version until you click on the further link. Librarian16 (talk) 16:33, 20 April 2009 (UTC)

Hello...there is a mistake on this very informative page that I understand we are not allowed to edit as it concerns ourselves (The Museum of London). Contrary to the last sentence of the entry, the Museum of London does not hold the records of the Metropolitan Drinking and Cattle Trough Foundation. These are actually held by the London Metropolitan Archive [1]. We would be very grateful if the entry could be updated accordingly. 31.221.0.68 (talk) 11:41, 2 June 2014 (UTC)Best regards, Archivist, Museum of London, 2 June 2014

London Metropolitan Archives

@Aspro: If you want to reinsert material about the London Metropolitan Archives, you need an inline citation to a reliable source. Just saying that the material is from the London Metropolitan Archives isn't providing a source: I could change that to say that most of the material is held by the Library of Congress, and our readers would be none the wiser. Let me quote from WP:BURDEN: "Attribute all quotations and any material challenged or likely to be challenged to a reliable, published source using an inline citation. Cite the source clearly and precisely (specifying page, section, or such divisions as may be appropriate)." — Mr. Stradivarius ♪ talk ♪ 08:50, 10 January 2015 (UTC)
