The latest press release from StarWars.com makes it clear that Arndt's contributions haven't been discarded:

Rick Kerb

2604:2000:F643:3E00:7055:6483:4D4F:F669 (talk · contribs) attempted to remove the Rick Kerb pseudonym from the article. I have restored the original edit, because it was already backed up by one reliable secondary source and I have added another WP:RS in the form of a newspaper article on the film. It directly states that Arndt 'retreated behind' the pseudonym Rick Kerb. Elizium23 (talk) 23:18, 3 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
