MindVox is back online

No evidence to support the previous claim of a 2009 version of MindVox being anything except April Fools joke. The current MindVox is accessible, msgs begin with a date and time stamp of Dec 21st 2012, there are a few hundred people inside of it testing the software, invited accounts are being validated. The original principles Kroupa and Fancher, both appear inside the system. MindVox Corp is a registered DE corp listed as active, MindVox is a registered trademark of MindVox Corp, also live. System seems to be back online at mindvox.com — Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.55.97.130 (talk) 01:35, 24 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Archive

Older discussion has been moved to Talk:MindVox/Archive. I think we should go for Featured Article status, if only because it might bring some interesting contributors out into the light! Sdedeo (tips) 23:20, 27 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

ARGH

I was in the middle of making all the sources "inline" (using the Wikipedia:Citation_templates) because I wanted to go for Featured Article status. And then my goddamn browser crashed! I am so depressed, too depressed to start again right now. Is there anybody out there who wants to make a start at it now? Please go ahead. I'll start helping again in a few days. :( Sdedeo (tips) 23:18, 27 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:MVLogo1990s.jpg

Image:MVLogo1990s.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:10, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

while cleaning up the refs, I also removed "Tom Dell and Patrick Kroupa shared a drug-related past" paragraph, this is original research and conjecture that looks like its based on a 2002 rant on alt.drugs which it listed as the ref and is all about heroin, ibogaine, mindvox, tom dell, rotten.com, offshore detox, I don't even know what else but come on guys, it is a rant on alt.drugs not a ref. I also removed a huge number of links which looked to be linked to people's personal pages where they talk about Mindvox and are added as the 4th or 5th ref for the same thing, adding nothing except their link. Added the 2009 relaunch. Thermal Soldier (talk) 11:56, 3 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File:MindVox2007.jpg Nominated for speedy Deletion

An image used in this article, File:MindVox2007.jpg, has been nominated for speedy deletion for the following reason: Wikipedia files with no non-free use rationale as of 18 February 2012

What should I do?

Don't panic; you should have time to contest the deletion (although please review deletion guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to provide a fair use rationale
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale, then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Deletion Review

To take part in any discussion, or to review a more detailed deletion rationale please visit the relevant image page (File:MindVox2007.jpg)
