Started ref list and will add items as time allows

Greetings, I've added the first in article reference (woo hoo!) and will add more as time and research dictates. Any help or suggestion, comments welcome. Benjiboi 02:20, 17 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Background Section NEEDS WORK

First go to the ships Wikipedia page - incident #1- occurred during transit for change of homeport. Get a reference and quote it over what he did that he received NJP (captain's mast). Get some proof (quotable reference) of number of people present at captain's mast. Need to add more for background of environment (military/ Navy for 1992). The term anit-gay has a link to the heterosexism page, why not instead link to homophobia ? I am a veteran, and reading this do admit it brings to light one of the Navy's lessor hour's. However, it is loaded with statement lacking proof/references, omissions to slant a reader a certain direction. It is not the article of the day, but has a link of front page of Wikpedia for on this day, it is a lower standard Wiki article for having a reference there. Back to link heterosexism page, why not instead link to homophobia- I learned stuf reading the heterosexism page, and really would be best if possible to link to both. If you can not get of find any references, perhaps just delete the section. Wfoj2 (talk) 21:46, 27 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Assessment comment

I think this article needs to be cleaned up to reduce bias and errors in writing. It shows clear bias against the perps of this crime, and certain sensationalist words like "brutal" in context with "murder". I have captialized words that should be capitalized, changed "dept" to "Department", and removed "brutally murdered because he was gay", as that is biased, and replaced it with "murdered because of his sexual orientation."

NO, "brutal" is justified. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 137.188.108.39 (talk) 19:23, 27 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Title of Article?

Why is this article called "Stabbing of..." when he wasn't stabbed? The article even says He was kicked/stomped to death.

Article still lacking

Article is lacking immensely, and it seems sufficient updates have not been provided, some information appears misleading or inaccurate, e.g., Schindler did not begin his processing discharge after March/April 1992 complaint, this event took place in September, before captains mast and after unauthorized radio broadcast. And failure to mention accomplice Charles E. Vins participation in the attack on Schindler.

Also, taking into consideration what user Wfoj2 stated in "Background Section NEEDS WORK", on October 27, 2012, and will be providing the necessary revisions in due time.Veniaur (talk) 23:22, 30 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
