On 12 May 2018, it was proposed that this article be moved from NCAA National Collegiate Men's Volleyball Championship to NCAA Men's Volleyball Tournament. The result of the discussion was moved.

I'm don't know the exact rules for the at-large bid. So I'm wondering why a non EIVA D-III school can't earn the at-large bid? D-III schools like Carthage and Clarke in the MIVA can win the MIVA tournament and earn the automatic bid so why can't they receive the at-large bid? And I know that they will never earn the at-large bid, but is there a rule that says that they can't?

I belive you are correct. I forgot to consider those schools. So yes, if Clarke, Carthage, or MSOE can manage to win the MIVA tournamnet, I believe they can get an automatic bid.

In terms of the at large bid, I'm also not sure of the at-large bid rules; generally it has gone to the second best MPSF team, but I'm not sure of any offical restrictions either.155.246.71.220 08:10, 19 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
