I'm don't know the exact rules for the at-large bid. So I'm wondering why a non EIVA D-III school can't earn the at-large bid? D-III schools like Carthage and Clarke in the MIVA can win the MIVA tournament and earn the automatic bid so why can't they receive the at-large bid? And I know that they will never earn the at-large bid, but is there a rule that says that they can't?
I belive you are correct. I forgot to consider those schools. So yes, if Clarke, Carthage, or MSOE can manage to win the MIVA tournamnet, I believe they can get an automatic bid.
In terms of the at large bid, I'm also not sure of the at-large bid rules; generally it has gone to the second best MPSF team, but I'm not sure of any offical restrictions either.155.246.71.220 08:10, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
