I started writing this page on Cruz tonight and im looking for more information to add. Owen4764 (talk) 03:26, 15 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Jewish descent

@MrX: re special:diff/826765344 "not evidenced in the sources" see following

  • Murphy, Paul. "Exclusive: Group chat messages show school shooter obsessed with race, violence and guns". CNN. Archived from the original on February 17, 2018. Retrieved February 17, 2018. Cruz wrote that he hated, "jews, ni**ers, immigrants."
Cruz said he hated black people simply because they were black; Cruz hated Jews because he believed they wanted to destroy the world.
During one of the anti-Semitic rants in the chat, Cruz spoke of his birth mother, saying, "My real mom was a Jew. I am glad I never met her."

special:diff/826776378 did not occur until after your change so I'm not sure how you could be unaware of that. Please do not remove reliably sourced information again. His hatred of Jews and mass-killing of Jews certainly makes Jewish heritage important to note. ScratchMarshall (talk) 04:54, 22 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If his mother really was jewish, then he's part Jewish. That should be mentioned especially when you consider his antisemitic comments Mountaindew12 (talk) 23:37, 10 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Categories

I have removed the ADHD and autism categories: per Wikipedia:Categorization/Ethnicity, gender, religion and sexuality, they need to be WP:DEFINING, which in this case they aren't. StAnselm (talk) 01:05, 28 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This article should not exist.

This coward deserves no recognition. Make articles for the victims instead. 2603:7080:602:E500:A4C1:8F4F:6FC2:EE71 (talk) 17:47, 27 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

He's notable enough to get his own wikipedia article. Elizzaflanagan221 (talk) 21:37, 16 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
i disagree; his crimes are what are known about him. this should be a subsection under the crime he committed if anything in my opinion 2603:8000:BF42:8E9:BC81:FDF1:1E7:DE37 (talk) 17:57, 12 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The only reason he is notable is due to his crimes at parkland. In all honesty, he should be listed under the article for the shooting he conducted, not separately. Mountaindew12 (talk) 23:35, 10 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Removing birth name

He was adopted. "Cruz" is clearly not his birth surname. AgeOfPlastic (talk) 18:30, 12 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

It was his legal name Mountaindew12 (talk) 23:35, 10 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
At birth? Please cite a source if true. AgeOfPlastic (talk) 15:04, 14 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Misinformation

"as a teenager on social media he shared his obsessions with mass shootings and expressed racist, antisemitic, homophobic, and xenophobic views."

The only source is a CNN article. CNN is known for their biasm and misinformation and therefore not a reliable source. Please delete or find a better source. 80.57.2.97 (talk) 19:16, 19 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

may we please add as description is a 'neo-Nazi', cuz thats what he is? Gorillafan101 (talk) 20:45, 15 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Without a source, no. cheers. anastrophe, an editor he is. 20:56, 15 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
well, cuz NC did have a swastika tattoo, & he did have white supremacist views, so can we PLEASE add as description is a 'neo-Nazi' or is a 'white supremacist' b/c of his views? Gorillafan101 (talk) 20:35, 16 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Not without a source, no. I would urge you to visit Help:Referencing_for_beginners and familiarize yourself with the matter of citations and the need to present valid, verifiable source when making changes, particularly when doing so on a biography of a living person. Regardless of how loathesome the subject of this article may be, the same rules apply. As well, I would point out that whether he is a neo-nazi or white supremacist, there has to be some relevance. I'm not aware of any source that suggests that his political views had anything to do with the massacre he committed. cheers. anastrophe, an editor he is. 20:57, 16 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
