I'm a little confused by the edits by User:Krism84 and User:Gilzine removing mentions of the player having trials with various clubs: in particular, User:Gilzine's statement that the player wasn't on trial at Mansfield, Southend or Northampton. All three clubs on their official websites: Mansfield Town, Southend United and Northampton Town state that the player was on trial with them. I'm particularly surprised that you say Mr Gilbert was only "training with" Northampton, given that he played in a competitive reserve match for them and that their manager says on the club website here that "Peter Gilbert is still on trial with us and we will probably make a decision on him by the end of the week". Perhaps you could explain why all three clubs were mistaken in describing Mr Gilbert as being on trial? Meanwhile, I'll restore the article to the previous version, and change the newspaper reports of Mr Gilbert's trials with those clubs to refer to the club website reports instead, for clarity.
If you're acting on Mr Gilbert's behalf, and you still have concerns about this, please visit the page Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons/Help, where you can find helpful suggestions on how to get assistance from people experienced in dealing with issues in articles about real people. cheers, Struway2 (talk) 18:17, 23 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
