Vertical drop slides

What is the correct term for a slide which starts off vertical before gently 'catching' the rider as it levels out? Why no mention here?? 82.10.108.49 (talk) 19:54, 18 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Necessity of Marathi playground translation

Is it a necessity to include this?!?!??????????????????? please fix and review —Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.153.76.198 (talk) 13:17, 30 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. I'm removing it. The information is unsourced and would be relevant only on one of the Indic-language wikipedias, unless it was etymological origin information for a word describing the playground slide — a word that was in actual use in English. New York City Rooftop slide

The reference to early images of slides on Playscapes.com shows a rooftop slide in New York City said to be c. 1900. The fashions on women in the image, however, almost certainly date the image to the 1910s or the 1920s. The c. 1900 dates appears to be an approximate date for an undated photo, not an actual date it was taken.

Head first safety issue?

I seem to see mixed signals on the net as to whether or not head first is a significant safety issue? Perhaps if the statistics merit it, it would get mention in the safety section. Or if not, perhaps mention in this talk page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.143.50.32 (talk) 05:52, 15 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
