It is spelled Potsdam, s, not z. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.145.14.208 (talk) 21:56, 6 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Potsdam

I guess someone vandalised the article? It should be potsdam without a Z - - Wilhelm3 (talk) 13:41, 19 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The archaic spelling is used because these weapons are identified in collections by the inscription on the lock plate.

In this example from the 1780s, the lock reads "POTZDAMMAGAZ", meaning "the Arsenal of Potsdam". 184.146.40.174 (talk) 00:57, 25 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Unit Conversions

Units conversions to up to 6 decimal places are meaningless. The manufacturing tolerances of the time (e.g. for lengths, probably tenths of mm for small values like bore sizes, or whole mm [~1/32"] for barrel lengths) should be considered when converting units.
