Oldest viable seeds

I have David Attenborough's "The Private Life of Plants" in front of me. It gives an age of ~2000 years for the revived lotus, and notes that a fraction of Artic lupin seeds have survived being frozen for 10000 years. The mis-match on the lotus might be attributable to the difference between C14 years and calendar years. Michaelbusch 06:31, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
