I am leaving this as seperate from the Flying Spaghetti Monster page, because it is only sponsored by that organization. Christians put work into the debates as well, and not all speakers are coming as Flying Spaghetti Monster representatives. As the references show, this is a large atheist convention in the midwest. It is not exclusively for the Flying Spaghetti Monster movement. Koor der (talk) 11:53, 3 December 2009 (UTC)koor_der
Correcting Skepticon 5 attendance
The cited Washington Post article does not present an accurate count of Skepticon attendees. It only presents the number of attendees who were in the room when Jessica Ahlquist spoke. The accurate count of unique attendees over all three days of the conference was over 1100. — Preceding unsigned comment added by William Skepticon (talk • contribs) 07:59, 25 November 2012 (UTC)
- That is probably true but Wikipedia requires us to provide citations from reliable sources before we add details like that. I cannot find another third-party, mainstream source that gives the 1100 attendance figure. Hopefully someone else can find that source so that we can add that info without WP:OR.
- On your user page you describe yourself as one of the coordinators of Skepticon. We welcome your input editing Wikipedia but I will also caution you to avoid WP:COI.Allecher (talk) 17:15, 25 November 2012 (UTC)
Wrong person linked.
The Lauren Lane linked is the actress, not the student co-founder of Skepticon. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 178.82.237.210 (talk) 04:17, 29 January 2014 (UTC)
