the announcement
The article currently says the line was announced in a Jan 29, 2013 USA Today article. The article covers it, but I'm not convinced it's the original source of the announcement. This forum post isn't reliable in itself, but it shows that people were aware of the line at least eight days prior to the USA Today coverage.
