Why capitalise "Tonga"?

Is there any reason to have capitalised the word "tonga" - it's not the Pacific island state we are talking about here, just a sort of carriage. I'll change it back in a while if there isn't. TobyJ 15:48, 17 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Lucy's fate?

I do not have my copy of Staying On at hand, so I cannot check, but the impression I received was that Lucy Smalley was not able to afford to return to England, and that her final acceptance of Indian society indicated that she would, indeed, "stay on". I will wait until I can reread the novel before I edit the page. 70.177.94.136 (talk) 10:38, 4 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Good grief

"We learn about life as an expat in Pankot principally by listening to Lucy's ponderings, for it is she who is the loquacious one, in contrast to Tusker's pathological reticence."

This reads like a sophomore writing to impress a teacher. 206.40.38.252 (talk) 16:14, 19 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
