Style of eruption
A surtseyan eruption is a strombolian eruption involving water and usually occurs in the ocean or deep lakes. Once the interaction of water and magma ceases and if the eruption continues it becomes a sub-aerial (land based) strombolian eruption. The Geologist (talk) 12:27, 24 October 2013 (UTC)
