Yūzō KayamaYuzo Kayama – - The official website of this performer uses the name without macrons. By WP:JATITLE, Use the form personally or professionally used by the person (such as on their official website or official social media profile), if available in the English/Latin alphabet;. Relisted. BDD (talk) 18:01, 15 January 2013 (UTC) JoshuSasori (talk) 13:34, 29 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose The cover of the website is just his latest album cover[1], and at least one of his older album covers[2] has used the macron spelling. But more importantly, he appears to sign his name by hand with macrons.[3] Will you stop going around Wikipedia telling us how you think Japanese people should spell their names now? elvenscout742 (talk) 16:51, 29 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I was right when I accused you of hounding. JoshuSasori (talk) 16:59, 29 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I haven't once checked your list of contributions. I checked WikiProject Japan's talk page. You have been consistently engaging in a campaign against the use of the macron on Wikipedia, and I have no idea why. You have now consciously gone against the guideline you quote so often by not withdrawing your above move request when you found out that he himself spells his own name with a macron.[4] I have enjoyed working with you on the article Kuroneko and I hope to work with you on improving other articles on classic Japanese cinema (are you interested in modern films too? I am :D ) and so I have no interest in fighting with you. But this is getting a little silly. elvenscout742 (talk) 17:08, 29 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I threw that bone about the signature at you for a reason. JoshuSasori (talk) 17:10, 29 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I actually didn't notice it until after I posted here (hence my citing a different photograph). Anyway, we now have two separate pieces of evidence of the subject himself writing his own name with macrons. (As an aside, by "bone" are you referring to "hound" again? Or were you deliberately offering me some help?) elvenscout742 (talk) 17:34, 29 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Talk pages are such fun. JoshuSasori (talk) 17:41, 29 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Can this be closed as no move now? Not meaning to impugn JS's motivations, since it is possible he didn't know about Mr. Kayama's preference for the macronned spelling when he first made the move request, but the above move request now at least looks like a joke. elvenscout742 (talk) 02:23, 10 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
No, I suggest this remain open to get votes from other people. JoshuSasori (talk) 03:55, 10 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
But you admitted yourself that the nomination was faulty in its reference to WP:JATITLE, which actually favours the current title. Your initial nomination is completely invalidated -- why would anyone else "vote" to move the page, unless they just don't like macrons? elvenscout742 (talk) 04:39, 10 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, I mean, your initial nomination argument has been invalidated: do you have another argument with which to convince other editors? elvenscout742 (talk) 04:41, 10 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
