These are my user status templates, some of which are userboxes. I recommend against substituting these templates, but you are (of course) free to do so. The edits from this user link will reflect the edits attributed to the user whose page the link appears on, even when not substituted.

The online/offline and online2/offline2 pairs of templates are intended to be updated every time you begin a stint of editing and every time you finish said stint of editing. That is to say, when you sit down and log in to Wikipedia its intended for you to change the ff to n in the tag on your userpage, and vice versa when you log out. This makes it clear to others who view your userpage whether you can be reached quickly via your contact page. It's not really a necessary function, but I thought I would create it anyways as I would like to use it. Small text appears to explain the scenario where you forget to change your status and explains how the viewer might figure out if you're really at the status you say you are. The very outgoing Wikipedians who view your user page may even decide to change your status for you if they see that it is set wrong.

The Userbox pair of online/offline indicators can be used the same as described above, however they could also simply be used to indicate that a user has a tendency to be online or offline most of the time. Feel free to substitute these into your userpage and change probably to always if you feel like it.
