Who am I?

I am David Kephart, Director of Academic Research at Link-Systems International, Inc. and Adjunct Professor of Mathematics at the University of South Florida. The notable phenomenon of distance education, the growth of which parallels that of Wikipedia itself is my primary area of contribution here. Please note that this may be seen by some as a conflict of interest, but the explanation is simpler. I write about what I am passionate about, which is not a negation of NPOV. As more and more people become conscious of the vast improvement in education made possible by the developoment of user-friendly technology, the traditional methods are re-thought with an eye to effectiveness.

While still in its infancy, the utility of e-learning has been verified by research. I want to make these implications better understood and to explain the tools which have played, and continue to play a part in this transformation.
