I'm a former academic. I use Wikipedia a lot in my work as a media researcher and when I find information missing or that there's a valuable resource not included, I try to make a bit of time to update Wikipedia.
My motto is, if we all work together, we can make this a better place.
Though I have been part of Wikipedia a long time - SINCE 2007!! - I don't often get time to edit so I'm still something of a newbie, appreciate assistance from more experienced editors.
