Dave Conway, ( born 3/28/72 ) in San Antonio, TX, is an American concert promoter, film producer and the founder and owner of the Railroad Revival Tour. Conway now resides in his home state of Texas, in the small town of Dripping Springs with his wife and two children.

EARLY LIFE

Conway joined the US Navy just after graduating Klein Oak High School in 1990. He served aboard the USS Nimitz during the Gulf War. While stationed in Washington, he witnessed the legendary music scene in early 1990's Seattle. After being honorably discharged, Conway lived in Seattle's Queen Anne's district and spent nights exploring the clubs and searching out new music. Inspired by the DIY movement there, Conway began throwing warehouse parties with friends. After leaving Seattle, he moved to Denver where he continued his pursuit of facilitating great shows by hosting warehouse events. Conway then moved to Los Angeles and began a career in the film industry as a Location Scout.

LITTLE RADIO

When his sizable CD collection was stolen and he was forced to listen to local LA radio, Conway made the decision to start his own station. On February 19, 2004 Little Radio went live as an internet and pirate radio station (www.LittleRadio.com and 104.7 FM). Shortly after gaining support from local musicians, Conway moved Little Radio into a 5,000 square foot warehouse in Downtown Los Angeles. The "Little Radio Warehouse" was christened with a live show by Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. During the five years of Little Radio's well attended and critically regarded shows and events, the warehouse location hosted the following bands: Sonic Youth, Peaches, Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Charlatans UK, Autolux, and The Ravonettes, Cut Chemist, The Presets et.al. Guests asked to DJ the station's broadcasts varied from writers, to well known bloggers, to musicians and to prominent club DJ's. These shows and relationships with other integral music scene insiders, established the event space and station as a leader in Los Angeles music.

RAILROAD REVIVAL TOUR

In 2002, while working with Film Director Francis Lawrence on a music video, Conway spent three weeks chartering a freight train that was used in the film shoot. It was during this time that Conway outlined plans for a traveling music event he called Railroad Revival.

During a brief stint in 2010 at Little Radio's new home in the Regent Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles, the band Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros played a series of shows. In this band, Conway found a good match for the long planned train trip. With the additions of Mumford and Sons and Old Crow Medicine Show, The Railroad Revival Tour was born. The Railroad Revival train traveled from Oakland, CA to New Orleans, LA on a 7 day trip across Southwest America in 15 vintage railcars.

Tours for both 2012 and 2013 are currently being planned.
