Małgorzata Kujawińska is a full professor of Applied Optics and the head of the Optical Engineering Division at Warsaw University of Technology. She was the president of SPIE in 2005.[1]

Early life and education

Kujawińska was born on October 13, 1952 in Warsaw, Poland, between Aleksander and Maria Futro.[2] She earned her Bachelor's degree in Fine Mechanics in 1976, Ph.D in Optical Engineering in 1982, and DSc in Applied Optics in 1997 from Warsaw University of Technology.[1][3]

Career

Kujawińska started working as an assistant professor at Warsaw University of Technology in 1982, and became a full professor in 1997.[3] In between, Kujawińska worked as a visiting professor in a number of institutes such as National Physical Laboratory, University of Oxford, University of Alabama in Huntsville, and University of Franche-Comté.
