Levis Valenzuela, Jr. (born April 18, 1992) is an American professional wrestler currently signed to WWE's developmental territory NXT under the ring name No Way Jose. Valenzuela had competed in CWF Mid-Atlantic prior to being signed to WWE, and was a ballroom dancer, inspiring his character of a fun, dancing superstar. He had also made appearances with Fire Star Pro Wrestling and the Organization of Modern Extreme Grappling Arts.

Professional wrestling career

Carolina Wrestling Federation Mid-Atlantic (2013-2014)

Valenzuela's first documented match was in CWF Mid-Atlantic under the ring name Manny Garcia, a loss to Aaron Biggs on September 9, 2013. Garcia would go onto lose 5 straight matches, including the 13th Annual Rumble Battle Royal, before picking up his first win on November 2 over Matty de Nero. Garcia's first title match came 15 days later, where he lost a four-man match for the CWF Mid-Atlantic Television Championship against Chase Dakota (who retained), Cecil Scott and Mark James. Garcia received his first CWF Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Championship match at New Year's Knockout 2014, where he lost to Arik Royal. Two weeks later, he lost a #1 contender's match for the championship to Corey Edsel. Garcia continued to lose matches for months, until his streak ended on May 3, 2014, where he defeated Mark James to win the Television Championship. He made his first title defense in a three-way two weeks later. Another successful title defense was made on June 7 over Michael McAllister. On June 27, Garcia lost to Aaron Biggs by countout in a title match, however, by rule, he retained the title. Two of the next three title defenses came by countout, winning one and losing one. At Fan's Choice on September 14, Garcia once again defended his title in a Two Out of Three Falls match against Jordan Flyght. Although losing many multi-man non-title matches, Garcia continued to defend his title frequently, until losing to Chris Lea for the title at Road to Battlecade XV. Garcia invoked his rematch clause 21 days later at Battlecade XV, winning back his title, making him a two-time champion, one of just four in the title's history. Garcia continued his title defenses until losing his farewell match in a Winners Take All match for Garcia's Television Title and the Tag Team Championships alongside Ethan Sharpe against Chet Sterling and Trevor Lee.

Fire Star Pro Wrestling (2014)

Under the same ring name, Garcia made his FSPW debut, winning a battle royal for the vacant FSPW South-Eastern Championship at WrestleRevival II, his first ever title reign. Although a champion, Garcia made sporadic appearances, not making another appearance until June 1, where he competed in a six-man tag team match in a losing effort. On September 14, Garcia lost the South-Eastern Championship to Aaron Biggs, ending his title reign at 217 days.

Organization of Modern Extreme Grappling Arts (2015)

Garcia competed in his only OMEGA match at Night of a Champion in a losing effort to Arik Royal.

WWE (2015-present)

NXT (2015-present)

Garcia, now under his real name, made his NXT debut at a TV taping for NXT in a losing effort alongside Elias Samson against Jason Jordan & Chad Gable. Valenzuela competed in singles matches at NXT house shows before picking up his first WWE win in Winter Haven, Florida over Marcus Louis. Valenzuela continued to trade wins with various superstars at house shows, notably winning a dark match before an NXT taping over Alexander Wolfe, whom we would defeat in his repackaging debut and in December when he won a six-man tag match alongside Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady over Scott Dawson, Dash Wilder & Elias Samson. Valenzuela went on a 15-match house show winning streak to start 2016 before being repackaged as a Dominican, fan-favorite dancer. He won his debut at a house show under the new ring name No Way Jose. Over this time, NXT was airing vignettes for the debut of No Way Jose, displaying a backdrop of a dancing crowd and flashing lights along with men with Spanish accents repeating "No Way Jose" to dance music. This song would become Jose's theme song entitled "No Way". He would win his repackaged debut over Alexander Wolfe in 3:02 on the April 2 episode of NXT. Jose would go on to win 8 straight house show matches, extending his winning streak to 24 matches. (This streak is still going)
