My name is Jan Borovicka, Ph.D. and I am a renowned expert on Psilocybe taxonomy and psychotropic mushrooms (https://www.webofscience.com/wos/author/record/1465294). I am co-author of the study. I agree that some MDPI journals are suspected of predatory publishing but this is not the case of our study and our paper. The deleted sentence is directly found in the mentioned article and it is my experience for many years.
