Taiwan issues

Hi, did you finally register an account? Please join Wikipedia:WikiProject Taiwan (You can add yourself to the participants list Wikipedia:WikiProject Taiwan/Participants) Since you are obviously interested in Taiwan-related articles, please be part of the project and voice your concerns with other editors (and no, not everyone is trying to sell out Taiwan or pro-PRC, pro-ROC) The project is for people to develop articles related to Taiwan without political bias.

I do think your edits are too extreme for the pages which are meant to be politically neutral (Demographics of Taiwan and Taiwanese people. Taiwanese is just a specific reference to people from Taiwan/ROC, but they are still part of the larger Chinese identity. Ran already said that if we say Taiwanese are not Chinese, then this affects a greater population such as Cantonese people, basically everyone south of the Yangtze River would be non-Chinese since genetically, they are different from northern Han Chinese. Why do you object so much to the usage of Chinese? Is it politcal? If so, that is a wrong reason. — Nrtm81 07:17, 1 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
