No problem :) ekips39 (talk) 13:28, 14 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Response

I totally would (it's a good idea and a nice thought) but, as I mentioned, it's not possible to do so because of the block placed on editing the page by Wikipedia. Therefore, the closest we can get to actually getting this issue noticed is to go to the page of the parent company. Of course, that is not the place to mention the irresponsibility of the daughter company, because it is largely irrelevant due to the independence of the daughter company and the fact that the oil spill was the responsibility of the daughter company. If the daughter company's page is made editable again, then edits to the parent company's page will not longer occur and information about the oil spill will be added in a neutral and factually supported fashion onto the daughter company's page (seriously, I promise references). As long as this is not possible, there is nothing else for us to do. Thank you and have a smile :) Ioanna.hearts.you (talk) 21:08, 14 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Ioanna.hearts.you: I see -- but you can go to Talk:Shell Oil Company and propose a change there, and you should also be able to edit Shell Oil Company yourself because it's only semi-protected and you meet the requirements for being autoconfirmed (though you didn't until today). I see you're now blocked, which is unfortunate, but when it expires feel free to try these suggestions. ekips39 (talk) 21:24, 14 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Ive been pretty busy myself, so I just now noticed you've been gone a lot lately. I hope you can soon find the time to get back to full life because I really miss you. Soap 05:11, 6 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Soap. I'm not a very useful editor but it's nice to know I'm missed. I expect to be around more later this month, when the RL commitments wind down. Also, any reason this is a subsection? ekips39❀talk 20:14, 7 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

A barnstar for you!

The Graphic Designer's Barnstar
Thank you for your logo design for m:Research:Revision scoring as a service. -- A Certain White Cat chi? 09:59, 14 June 2015 (UTC)

Logo design, an iteration proposal

Hi, I am curious if you could perhaps modify the logo a little. We did not notice this until recently but the design is very similar to the letters AI already. Perhaps the red circle could be moved a little higher (within the triangle)... Think of the letter A and how there is a triangle in the letter. That would contain the red circle (the dot of an i). The bottom part of the green triangle would be the bottom part of the (ı). Just a thought if you have the time. -- A Certain White Cat chi? 10:05, 14 June 2015 (UTC)

Male film score composers - purpose of this category?

Could you kindly explain what is the purpose of this category? Film score composing, surely, is not at all demonstrably something of which the quality or nature of the result is anything to do at all with the gender of its creator? In other words, I can't see what encyclopaedic purpose there is in making such a category, but I would be glad to be enlightened if there is such a reason. Alfietucker (talk) 10:53, 17 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I only created it because Category:Female film score composers already exists and having one but not the other is just weird. I couldn't say why these categories are of any use. Perhaps you could ask Scarecroe, who created the female category. ekips39❀talk 17:25, 17 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Mistakes

I never did such a thing!I believe you have made a mistake! Please stop accusing me on this!!!It was blamed on me twice!Got it!Well, I do not want to see you talking to me in such rude manners again!

Hi Ekips39... last year, you added {{restricted use}} to File:Simplified historical map of Ukrainian borders 1654-2014.jpg... but it does not appear on MediaWiki:Bad_image_list. Could you clarify this please? Thanks, Storkk (talk) 14:38, 17 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The file was originally named File:Map of Ukraine borders 1654 - 2014.jpg and that name is still on the list. The list should probably be updated to reflect this. ekips39❀talk 22:29, 17 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Is it in danger of being used maliciously? I see on Commons it has two global uses, one on a talk page here and another on a talk page on ruwiki. Storkk (talk) 11:39, 18 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know the details of why it was put on the list in the first place -- it's possible that whatever malicious use prompted that isn't going to happen again. If you think it's not going to be an issue you can ask for it to be removed from the list. ekips39❀talk 18:57, 18 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. I honestly thought the information I contributed to the Gang River page on wikipedia was accurate information, from a source I thought was reliable. How did you find this? Special:Search shows no matches for "abuse log" in the MediaWiki namespace. Suffusion of Yellow (talk) 17:09, 3 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Suffusion of Yellow: I added &uselang=qqx to the URL of a history page. It shows the names of all the interface messages being used. If you try it you'll see what I mean. e.g. https://en.wikipedia.org/enwiki/w/index.php?title=Template:AfC_draft_editintro&action=history&uselang=qqx You probably couldn't find it through Special:Search because it doesn't technically exist (isn't locally customized). ekips39 (talk) 18:17, 3 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
