Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Zoey 101. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. - Here is what you added:
- (It is well known that he is the most dislikeable character on the show. Many people have petitioned to have him removed, but they were not accepted. There was even talk of an alternate script being sent it, involving a meteorite falling on Chase's head, and killing him. Of course, that script was ignored.)
- This is entirely your own opinion. Please read our core policy on verifiability to understand why you cannot add personal opinions to articles. Thanks, Gwernol 02:00, 9 February 2007 (UTC)
I'm trying to help here. Let me quote the first paragraph of the above guideline for editing in Wikipedia:
"The threshold for inclusion in Wikipedia is verifiability, not truth. "Verifiable" in this context means that any reader should be able to check that material added to Wikipedia has already been published by a reliable source. Editors should provide a reliable source for material that is challenged or likely to be challenged, or it may be removed."
In other words, somewhere in the Wikipedia article, you need either to provide a link to the web site you got the Zoey 101 information from, or give the name of the book or magazine and the author of the Zoey 101 information. It is not enough merely to state blindly 'It's a fact'. Thanks. Refsworldlee(chew-fat)(eds) 10:58, 9 February 2007 (UTC)
A tag has been placed on Neopets for sale, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group or service and which would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.
If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Quietust 19:56, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
Edits to Childhood obesity
Hi Babygurl13573, Thanks for spotting the vandalism on the Childhood obesity article. I've reverted back to an unvandalized version. In the future, if you wanted, you could handle this yourself - or simply delete the offending material and commenting in the edit summary. Normally we try not to leave annotations or comments about the article on the article page itself. Thanks again. Hope you're enjoying editing Wikipedia! -- Siobhan Hansa 21:29, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
Thanks
Okay, thank you for letting me know about the page history! I never realized such a thing exsisted. Babygurl13573 16:18, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
Last warning
This is your last warning. The next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to Hilary Duff, you will be blocked from editing. --Yamla 16:34, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
Sorry
I'm sorry, but I do not think what I did constitues as vandalism. I just mentioned that one of the songs she sang was a "cute" song, which it is generally considered to be. It helps the reader understand what kind of music Duff sings.
If you still think its vandalism after my explanation, then I apologize. I won't make such edits again. Babygurl13573 16:37, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
- We really don't care about your opinions, your own personal opinions should not be added to articles. See WP:NOT and WP:NOTE. And saying that a song is "cute" adds absolutely nothing meaningful to the article. --Yamla 16:38, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
Copyright violation
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions to the Toyger article, but for legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.
Feel free to re-submit a new version of the article. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later."
You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here. You can also leave a message on my talk page. --Yamla 16:37, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
Ok
Ok :)
I'll rewrite the information in my own words. I didn't realize that it was against the rules to copy directly from another site.
Welcome, some useful tips to read up on before editing
