Apparently, this is a much much bigger issue than I thought. It's front page news own the wikipedia paper: Wikipedia:Wikipedia Signpost/2007-05-07/Fair use. Best, nadav 08:34, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop removing links to disambiguation pages as you recently did to various documentary television series. ∞ΣɛÞ² (τ|c) 12:16, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

ancient mysteries

You might want to check talk:ancient mysteries to understand the history of why it was redirected to mystery and why it was renamed to esoteric history. Also, basic definitions of words are fine on disambiguation pages so please don't remove them. ∞ΣɛÞ² (τ|c) 12:23, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation

Catneven, regarding your comment at the dab project, please look here for a discussion I'm having about this with Dekimasu, an administrator who works on the dab project. The user who reverted you is currently the subject of an RfC concerning his disregard of WP:CIVIL and other issues with his conduct. You may wish to make a comment there. I intend to. I hope you won't be discouraged from working on the dab pages because of this. This kind of thing is really rather rare. --Steven J. Anderson 18:41, 28 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Catneven. While we're in accord on the RfC, I would like to ask you to take a second look at this revert: [1]. The wiktionary template link was IMO a good addition, and the See also link to the Darker list could probably stay unless/until the list gets deleted. Cheers! -- JHunterJ 13:56, 31 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Totally overlooked the wikt-thing; thanks for pointing it out. Still think the list item should go, though. -Catneven 14:05, 31 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Dutch republicanism

Hello Catneven,

I see that you are Dutch and oppose monarchy. I edit Res Publica, an international anti-monarchy Web directory and wonder whether I've missed any republican resources for the Netherlands.

Would you please have a look and share your thoughts?

Thank you.

Volleyball

I have seen some editions you have done to volleyball articles. Some players articles, most of them looks outdated. I would like to improve players by country. Could you please choose a country to contribute with? Please take a look on Yekaterina Gamova, Hélia Souza, Serena Ortolani and Kenia Carcaces for a model to follow. Please can you please improve some volleyball players with infobox and some addons? Let me know. Oscar987 21:07, 14 June 2010 (UTC)

2010–12 Continental Beach Volleyball Cup

Hi just wanted to see if you would be interested in helping with this article 2010–12 Continental Beach Volleyball Cup? This is an Olympics qualification tournament for the 2012 Summer Olympics. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Intoronto1125 (talk) 17:20, 24 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I have decided to put on a mini-contest within the November 2013 monthly disambiguation contest, on Saturday, November 23 (UTC). I will personally give a $20 Amazon.com gift card to the disambiguator who fixes the most links on that server-day (see the project page for details on scoring points). Since we are not geared up to do an automated count for that day, at 00:00, 23 November 2013 (UTC) (which is 7:00 PM on November 22, EST), I'll take a screenshot of the project page leaderboard. I will presume that anyone who is not already listed on the leaderboard has precisely nine edits. At 01:00, 24 November 2013 (UTC) (8:00 PM on November 23, EST), I'll take a screenshot of the leaderboard at that time (the extra hour is to give the board time to update), and I will determine from that who our winner is. I will credit links fixed by turning a WP:DABCONCEPT page into an article, but you'll have to let me know me that you did so. Here's to a fun contest. Note that according to the Daily Disambig, we currently have under 256,000 disambiguation links to be fixed. If everyone in the disambiguation link fixers category were to fix 500 links, we would have them all done - so aim high! Cheers! bd2412 T 02:06, 18 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Invitation to the African Destubathon

Hi. You may be interested in participating in the African Destubathon which starts on October 15. Africa currently has over 37,000 stubs and badly needs a quality improvement editathon/contest to flesh out basic stubs. There are proposed substantial prizes to give to editors who do the most articles, and planned smaller prizes for doing to most destubs for each of the 53 African countries, so should be enjoyable! So it would be a good chance to win something for improving stubs on African sportspeople, including footballers, athletes, Olympians and Paralympians etc, particularly female ones, but also male. Even if contests aren't your thing we would be grateful if you could consider destubbing a few African articles during the drive to help the cause and help reduce the massive 37,000 + stub count, of which many are rated high importance (think Regions of countries etc). If you're interested in competing or just loosely contributing a few expanded articles on African Paralympians, Olympians and committees etc, please add your name to the Contestants/participants section. Diversity of work from a lot of people will make this that bit more special. Thanks. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:14, 6 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

JavaScript RegExp problem

I noticed you have experience in JavaScript. I'm hoping you can help me with a problem I've run into writing a userscript.

Please see my post at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject JavaScript#Nested RegExp.

Hi. We're into the last five days of the Women in Red World Contest. There's a new bonus prize of $200 worth of books of your choice to win for creating the most new women biographies between 0:00 on the 26th and 23:59 on 30th November. If you've been contributing to the contest, thank you for your support, we've produced over 2000 articles. If you haven't contributed yet, we would appreciate you taking the time to add entries to our articles achievements list by the end of the month. Thank you, and if participating, good luck with the finale!
