Hello. Yes, indeed, I left there on the talk-page a message to a fellow editor that created the article telling him in Serbian that I was trying to create that redirect (Adriano Guerra Strack) but something changed in my browser so when I click in a red-link, instead of driving me towards the article creation page, it just sends me out of Wikipedia and drives me to a search engine. I tried it yesterday, and now again, and same happends, so can you please do me a favor and create that redirect? Adriano Guerra Strack → Adriano Strack. I usually do it that way and after creating the redirect I remove it from the talk-page. Best regards! FkpCascais (talk) 17:48, 2 August 2015 (UTC)
- Sure. Also, try using the search engine. If there's no matching title, it'll say at the top that there's no matching article, and you can create it. Compassionate727 (talk) 12:25, 3 August 2015 (UTC)
- Actually, I can't: the page is indefinitely creation protected. I'll see if I can get the appealed so I can create the redirect. Compassionate727 (talk) 12:35, 3 August 2015 (UTC)
Hyperlinks I deleted are readded?
Compassionate Its not a big deal but I was hoping you would explain you reasoning why you would revert my edit when I was just unhyperlinking to two nonexistent pages? This is on Scott Lilinfeld's Wikipedia page. Ginger Campbell and Barbara Dressler were wrongly hyperlinked so it was showing up red font on a otherwise attractive Lilinfeld page. I can see keeping the hyperlinks if someone is currently working on that new page? But in the case of Dressler we already looked into creating a WP page for her but there are not enough secondary sources to prove she is notable, and we looked all over, so I know that she isn't going to be receiving a WP page anytime soon. Maybe you know something I don't? And Ginger Campbell might be able to support notoriety but at the moment no one I know is working on the page, again maybe you know something that I don't? As I said its no skin off my nose, but it just seemed odd and wondered why you would revert my change? I do appreciate the thank yous you did leave me BTW.Sgerbic (talk) 01:09, 6 August 2015 (UTC)
- I understand your logic, I used to follow it too. However, according to WP:RED, red links shouldn't usually be removed. These are links to people's names, so they could eventually have an article about them. Having a red link to their page encourages people to create the page, expanding the encyclopedia. Patial Page
- Compassionate, I have created this page and manage this article. it is about the history and present information of Patial Rajputs. I am not a very active Wikipedia User hence at times I do commit mistakes as I am not an expert like you. Well I have deleted certain points mentioned in the article and deleted the data from Kaundal redirect to Patial as it has no relevance with the Patial Cast/Title.
Patial is a Rajput/Kshatriya Caste of North India and Kaundal is either a Hindu Gotra in North India or any one who has the last name as Kaundal does not belong to our community. this is the reason it was removed. Pleae acknowledge once you go through the reply so that i can once again remove it. Thanks--Satendra.patial (talk) 14:04, 7 August 2015 (UTC)
- Please note that creation of a page does not entitle an editor to any special privileges, and that article contents change over time with the inclusion of many editors' contributions. What is reported here is reported in reliable sources and personal experience is not a factor in decisions for inclusion. Your blanking of pages and redirects is being seen by more than one editor as disruptive. Please go to the article's talk page and discuss changes there. Scr★pIronIV 14:18, 7 August 2015 (UTC)

- Well you are right that I do not owe any privileges for creating this page however this page is about a Rajput community from North India that only has one Title called Patial and Kaundal has no relation with the Title or the community. As mentioned above Kaundal is name of one of the Hindu Gotra or some communities that are not Rajput and has no relation with the Title Patial use it.And well the Title of a Rajput community doesnot change over time and well no one likes anyone playing around with the title of the community as it is a matter of honour and pride for us. Well it's still alright if the creator of Kaundal wants to redirect its page to Patial but playing around with the Title as Patial or Kaundal is a strict No No. we neither are Kaundal nor do we want to preach that to people or our future generatons--Satendra.patial (talk) 15:55, 7 August 2015 (UTC)
- Alright, between this an another look at the article, I think I understand what you're saying. Next time, please use the edit summary: it helps issues like this avoid happening. Compassionate727 (talk) 16:01, 7 August 2015 (UTC)
- Thank you for understanding the issue and concern Compassionate, It would really be appreciable if you can suggest how to use the edit summary to avoid such situations in future--Satendra.patial (talk) 16:18, 7 August 2015 (UTC)
- If you're removing content, you should generally explain why you're doing so. Compassionate727 (talk) 16:28, 7 August 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks once again as this conversation with you was very helpful, I have removed Kaundal from the artical and have mentioned the reason in Edit summary however I have not made any changes to Kaundal Redirect. If you don't mind then In future also if I have any issues or would need any clarification than I will contact you through this talk page--Satendra.patial (talk) 17:03, 7 August 2015 (UTC)

Hi Compassionate727. Thank you for your work on patrolling new pages and tagging for speedy deletion. I'm just letting you know that I declined your deletion request for Prase, a page that you tagged for speedy deletion, because the criterion you used or the reason you gave does not cover this kind of page. I find your thought process here highly puzzling. A user makes one bad edit to a long-term stable redirect, and you respond by nominating it for deletion under three seperate criteria? Please be more careful when nominating things for deletion in the future, this needed just a simple revert, nothing else. Please take a moment to look at the suggested tasks for patrollers, criteria for speedy deletion, and particularly, the section covering non-criteria. Such pages are best tagged with proposed deletion or proposed deletion for biographies of living persons, or sent to the appropriate deletion discussion. Thanks! Beeblebrox (talk) 16:49, 7 August 2015 (UTC)
- That was a mistake on my part. I found it at the back of the new pages feed. I don't know why, but a ton of really old pages have showed up as unreviewed, and I didn't realize/forgot that this was one of them. Compassionate727 (talk) 17:16, 7 August 2015 (UTC)
arts stub.
Hello, enquiring about your edit on joey haley artist and stub decision. Arts and entertainment stubs are juried by an arts and entertainment branch of Wikipedia. Was this decision juried, or was it simply an edit on your part? Thanks Helios2000 (talk) 17:00, 7 August 2015 (UTC)
- That was a decision on my part. However, I'm not aware of any instance where a page that's only one paragraph long isn't considered a stub. Compassionate727 (talk) 17:14, 7 August 2015 (UTC)
- Also, @Helios2000:, you are just plain wrong. Any user may edit add appropriate stub tags to any article. I don't know where you got the idea that such a minor edit requires a jury (which I assure we do not have) from the "arts and entertainment division" (which we also don't have). Beeblebrox (talk) 17:39, 7 August 2015 (UTC)
Please enquire with Wikipedia and get this properly reviewed before applying this edit. length isn't the sole requirement for a stub. This isn't just a few sentences without reference. thanks.

- I'd say it is, it doesn't contain much information about him. It has no information about his personal life, doesn't have a list or partial list of his works, and has only a brief description of what makes him notable. I see room for expansion. Nevertheless, if you want more opinions, Wikipedia:WikiProject Biography/Arts and entertainment is the place to go for that. I'm just a new pages patroller. Compassionate727 (talk) 17:30, 7 August 2015 (UTC)
- Helios2000, you do realize that the definition is a page with a few sentences? I think 4 (which is all there is there) counts as a few. Compassionate727 (talk) 17:37, 7 August 2015 (UTC)

Declined G1 speedy
Hi, Compassionate727. I just wanted you to know that I came to the "How many men?" redirect page to act on your WP:G1 speedy deletion tag. I determined it was not nonsense and declined the speedy -- the G1 tag is used only for incoherent gibberish. More importantly, I was able to understand the original meaning of the redirect by a discussion on the target page. The redirect apparently lost it's meaning when text was removed from the target page in September 2012. I have now restored and rewritten that content and included a reliable reference. (Apparently lack of RS was the original reason for its removal.) Please remember that is always best to follow the steps at WP:BEFORE prior to proposing a page for deletion. In light of this, you may wish to review your comment at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2015 August 7#How many men? ? Cheers. — CactusWriter (talk) 23:18, 9 August 2015 (UTC)

Capitol Hill Seattle changes
Hi Compassionate,
The demographic section I added to the Capitol Hill Seattle page used information from the 2013 American Community Survey, a project of the U.S. Census. I included this at the top of the section, along with the specific census tracts used in making the calculations. Should I also add this information as a citation? — Preceding unsigned comment added by JoshMahar (talk • contribs) 15:40, 11 August 2015 (UTC)
- That would be helpful, yes. That's most commonly what people look for, as far as I'm aware. Also, remember to sign your changes to talk pages using four tildes (~~~~). Compassionate727 (talk) 15:42, 11 August 2015 (UTC)
List of works of the two Folgoët ateliers
Thank you for your comment but before I try follow your suggestions what is the difference between "List of works of the two Folgoët ateliers" and "List of the works of Bastien and Henry Prigent". At every turn I refer to "Sculpteurs sur pierre en Basse-Bretagne. Les Ateliers du XVe au XVIIe Siècle" by Emmanuelle LeSeac'h. Published by Presses Universitaires de Rennes. ISBN 978-2-7535-3309-7. I am not therefore expressing personal views but picking up comments by LeSeac'h who is a much respected authority on the subject. The length (you say too long) is to some extent a reflection of the enormous output of the ateliers but how can any entry be too long? Not quite sure of this.Weglinde (talk) 17:11, 11 August 2015 (UTC)
- Hello. As far as the difference between the two lists, I don't know. I'm not familiar with the subject, so I wouldn't know. As far the being like an essay goes, the lead reads like the first paragraph of an essay. It's fine if he/she uses them, but Wikipedia shouldn't contain essays: its an encyclopedia. And the entries aren't too long, the page as a whole is. Perhaps you should split it into two lists based on when they were created. Compassionate727 (talk) 17:16, 11 August 2015 (UTC)
Thank you. I will think carefully about your suggestion. Thank you for your interestWeglinde (talk) 08:13, 12 August 2015 (UTC)
Would you be happy for me to remove the tags you added to my article? If not I will leave them as they are.Weglinde (talk) 06:51, 13 August 2015 (UTC)
- I removed the too long tag, I think the lead needs to be cleaned up though. Usually for lists, something short that explains what the list covers is sufficient. Compassionate727 (talk) 16:31, 13 August 2015 (UTC)
Many thanks. I will try to clean up lead.Weglinde (talk) 07:05, 14 August 2015 (UTC) Hello again. I have made changes to the lead part of the article and hopefully you will feel disposed to remove the remaining tag. Thanks again for your interestWeglinde (talk) 08:47, 14 August 2015 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of my pages.
I have removed the speedy deletion templates you put on 2 pages i created. They both make notability guidelines, as they both were in a recent edition of the Giro d'Italia and all post WWII grand tour cyclists make notability standards.--Old Time Music Fan (talk) 18:49, 11 August 2015 (UTC)

May I ask...
...out of sheer curiosity how did you come across the Protestant decline in Ireland article I very recently created, and the Protestantism in the Republic of Ireland article that I moved the content too? Mabuska (talk) 03:17, 16 August 2015 (UTC)
- I'm a new pages patroller, and Protestant decline in Ireland was in the New Pages Feed. I don't remember exactly how I found Protestantism in the Republic of Ireland, but it had something to do with me wanting to find the article that I should merge Protestant decline in Ireland into. Compassionate727 (talk) 16:25, 16 August 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks for the response. That is the only thing I could think of however I find it odd that it appeared at the New Pages Feed as I created the decline article and I have autopatrol rights meaning that articles I create don't need patrolled - as far as I'm aware. I did remove all the content and move it to the other article leaving it as a redirect until another editor decided to use the namespace as a stub focusing on a broader scope. Unless of course it was the change from a redirect to a stub by a non-autopatrolled editor that was somehow flagged. You probably came across the other article if you checked the decline articles edit history and saw that I redirected the namespace too it. Mabuska (talk) 21:48, 16 August 2015 (UTC)
- It might be a combination of both. I'm now sure how Special:NewPages works, but Special:NewPagesFeed separates redirects from articles. It might have been the transition from being a redirect to being an article. The other possible thing is that each day, a few articles somehow become "unreviewed." I've reviewed pages as old as 2003 before. This would possibly suggest that reviewing and patrolling are two different things, which might also be involved. Compassionate727 (talk) 13:27, 17 August 2015 (UTC)

I was trying to adhere to "While a list of the notable services your organization provides might be appropriate, such a list should only include those that are a part of the primary mission and are necessary to adequately describe the organization" from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:FAQ because this list is the only way to understand the company. Speedy deletion declined: Nataša Kojić
Hello Compassionate727. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Nataša Kojić, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: There's no claim to importance because the article was essentially blanked; let's give the AFD a chance. Thank you. §FreeRangeFrogcroak 17:19, 20 August 2015 (UTC)
- Alright. I was aware of that, I wasn't sure if would apply anyway. -©2015 Compassionate727(Talk)(Contributions) 17:20, 20 August 2015 (UTC)
Hi I inadvertently deleted the nominated for deletion text while I was editing the page Clemens Nathan Research Centre with two third party citations. I am new to Wikipedia but I do hope that this addresses the concerns raised. In addition, the page lists published books which exist in their own right. Would it help to add their ISBN numbers? Frognal2 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Frognal2 (talk • contribs) 18:19, 20 August 2015 (UTC)
- Hello. There are several issues concerning your article. First off, its lead is very promotional. Generally, an article won't stay very long if it opens with a statement like "_____ is dedicated to the promotion of human rights." That has a significant bias to it. "_____ is a human rights organization" is much better. Second of all, the article doesn't make any claim of any particular significance. There are tens, probably hundreds, of thousands of human rights organizations out there. Many of them have conferences and publish things. Finally, there aren't enough outside sources. The only source you have specifically listed as a reference is the official website. In order to determine that an organization is notable, it must be the subject of multiple articles or works by credible, independent groups. For other information on writing your article, I would check out Wikipedia:Writing your first article. -©2015 Compassionate727(Talk)(Contributions) 18:30, 20 August 2015 (UTC)
Thank you Compassionate727. I have made various additions and changes to strengthen the article. And have put a case against deletion. What are next steps to have the banner removed? Frognal2 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Frognal2 (talk • contribs) 20:43, 20 August 2015 (UTC)

please slow down
Too many of the pagers you've listed for speedy deletion have been declined by several different admins, including myself. In particularly, you;re using G11 much too freely--to qualify, an article must be so promotional that it couldn't be fixed without major rewriting--if removal of a sentence of two would fix it , then fix it,don't use G11, An article describing a career in plain neutral terms is not promotional.
I've been working with new articles for many years, and have deleted many thousands, But I would never go as fast as you are going, I find that after screen new articles for a while, there's a tendency to get overly abrupt with them, so I never do more than 5 or ten at a time, DGG ( talk ) 02:42, 21 August 2015 (UTC)
- Yeah, the number of pages that I had been tagging for deletion seemed ridiculous to me, but it had been a while since I had done new pages instead of older ones, so I wondered if it was just that bad pages somehow get filtered out efficiently. When most of them started getting deleted, I decided it must have been the latter. I nominated 66 pages for deletion yesterday while patrolling, and only seven were declined. Five have yet to be reviewed. You can check yourself, I keep a CSD Log.
- Nevertheless, I do agree that I was a bit excessive with G11 earlier on. I started to slow down as I went. I'll keep your points in mind, especially about how long to work on patrolling. -©2015 Compassionate727(Talk)(Contributions) 13:37, 21 August 2015 (UTC)

Recreating a previously deleted page
Hi Compassionate727, thanks for keeping the high standard of Wikipedia. I would like to know why even after contesting against the speedy deletion of “Shaheed Foundation Pakistan” the page was still deleted, based on clause A7. As the subject clearly indicate its importance and significance, supported by its cause and web links which I have provided during contest earlier. I understand the page was underdeveloped with few introductory lines, however the subject holds its originality and importance. Please guide on this kindly, as I would like to create this page again. - Unfortunately, I can't say I remember for sure what the specific issue was. I would recommend you have the deleting admin, in this case DGG, restore the page and move it to your userspace. Then you can work on it, and I'll be able to view it again and tell you what specifically should be worked on. -©2015 Compassionate727(Talk)(Contributions) 13:10, 21 August 2015 (UTC)
Proposed speedy deletion of Clearswift page
Hi Compassionate727,
Went through this process previously and I thought the page was now no longer an 'advertisement' as it just has the various pieces of history etc. The page is similar in style to many other company pages - which seem to be far more like an advertisement. Please let me know specifically what needs to be changed, and I will do so. (The previous page was fine for more than a year, before it was removed with the comment it was an advertisement.)
Thanks. Guy2012 (talk) 13:29, 21 August 2015 (UTC)
I've now removed various additional pieces, the timeline is a history. Hopefully this now meets your criteria.
Thanks. Guy2012 (talk) 13:37, 21 August 2015 (UTC)
- Thank you. I just want to clarify that much of the information that I mentioned, such as purchases, doesn't need to be outright removed. It should simply be in with relevant section. You originally had it in a section by itself, which makes it seem like you're trying to draw attention to it, which seems like advertising. -©2015 Compassionate727(Talk)(Contributions) 13:43, 21 August 2015 (UTC)
Dromeas Website
Hi,
i am trying to write information about the biggest office furniture manufacturer in Greece. I am going to write the history of it back to 1979 until now. I am not trying to promote a product or something like this. What i have to do?
Thank you,
Kostis
- @Mykostis: I recommend that you use WP:Articles for creation to create your article. Since you're not done, though, I'll move the article to Draft:Dromeas, if that's okay with you. -©2015 Compassionate727(Talk)(Contributions) 19:05, 21 August 2015 (UTC)
I respectfully disagree with your speedy deletion tagging

The article is an orphan. Perhaps it can be integrated into the {{British Isles}} template?
