Thank you!

That's a very kind message you sent. You made my day. Nice to know someone is following my work. Please come back if you find any more players I can add. All the best, Acmilan10italia (talk) 23:54, 18 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I remember you

Thanks, but feel free to edit my page yourself, whenever you want. Just hit the edit button like you normally would. That's what Wikipedia is great for. Just keep the same format. THANKS friend. Acmilan10italia (talk) 21:12, 29 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Uroš Radaković, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Serbian (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 19:35, 31 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Player ratings

I can't thank you enough for your help. It's tough to do it by myself.

I get all the ratings, for example Pepe (93), from one of my favorite websites: soccerwiki.org You don't need to make an account to access the website. Just click on your language and then search. Enjoy :) and thanks again Acmilan10italia (talk) 15:46, 8 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Salva Ruiz, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Sir Sputnik (talk) 16:51, 5 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Eden10Hazard, I updated / corrected the league caps for Süle, based on the corresponding article in the german wikipedia (written by myself) and the linked transfermarkt profile. The 22 caps / 4 goals information belongs to his appearances in the german A-Jugend-Bundesliga (= youth level), not to his performance when playing for Hoffenheim II in the Regionalliga. Also, he had already been capped for the german under 18 national team in 2012, see http://www.dfb.de/index.php?id=504298&spielid=127&action=schema&teama=Deutschland&teamb=Italien . On a different note: Do you know why his under 17 ccaps don't appear, even though the syntax seems correct to me? Regards --Headlocker (talk) 12:02, 23 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article Carlos Ramos Blanco has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Article about a footballer who fails WP:GNG and who has not played in a fully pro league. His appearance in the Copa del Rey was against non-fully-pro opposition and therefore does not confer notability.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. Re: Coup de France

For domestic cup appearances, the rule most frequently applied at afd is that a player is notable if he's played a cup match between two clubs who play in fully pro leagues. So for the specific case of the Coupe de France, if the match was between Ligue 1 and/or Ligue 2 clubs, he's notable, otherwise, probably not. Sir Sputnik (talk) 20:47, 12 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • I Really don't know. I guess he's born in Belgium to foreign parents. He is a youth exponent from the Belgian Jean-Marc Guillou Academy in Tongerlo (Belgium). I googled the name "Tahiri" and I found Edita Tahiri, so i guess if he has a Kosovarian/Albanian name his father (and possibly mother too) is descent from there.

I'll sure do that for you. Eden10Hazard (talk) 21:26, 3 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Transfermarkt

The first item listed at WP:ELNO specifically says that Any site that does not provide a unique resource beyond what the article would contain if it became a featured article is to be avoided. While this is by no means followed universally, the basic point is that external links should add value. In overwhelming majority of cases, the information contained in transfermarkt profiles is entirely redundant to information in other more reliable resources, which are often already listed in the article either as external links or as in line citations. That being the case, not only does transfermarkt not add value, it encourages the use of an unreliable source simply by being linked. Additionally, since footballer bios are often so poorly sourced, the external links effectively act as sources without inline citation. This has been discussed several times at WT:FOOTY. In any case, if you continue to add transfermarkt profiles, I will continue to remove them. Sir Sputnik (talk) 00:44, 30 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Attention

Hi mate, how are you?

Please, pay attention at your creations in here, RRD cannot create any pages due to his inability to create a good page (i.e. doing it in the fast way just to take the credits). I do know you don't have much time, but please improve your creations (in a very better way than your last one, Daniele Verde) before someone starts complaining of you.

Just a tip, okay? ;) Cheers, MYS77 22:37, 17 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hey mate i'm fine and you? i'm working on Daniele Verde mate, if you're patient you will see. I have been busy with schoolwork too, now i'm done so i'll add info the page. Don't worry dude, it was just a tip. I know you're not that kind of person, I was just warning you because other people can think this way... And you're far more likeable than RRD, of course. Cheers, happy week (and sorry for the "delay")! MYS77 02:56, 22 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hey mate, how are you? Long time, no talk, huh?

Just a tip for you: when creating new articles, you don't need to create wikilinks to a country, neither in box nor in intro. It's considered overlinking.

Any doubts, just "call me"! Cheers, happy weekend. MYS77 18:55, 23 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hey mate,

I don't understand overlinking can you give me an example. Cheers Eden10Hazard (talk) 19:00, 23 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

According to WP:OVERLINK: "the names of major geographic features and locations, languages, and religions" (i.e. countries) should not be linked. See my edit at Aleix, I removed the wikilink to Spain in both intro and box. Got it? Cheers, MYS77 19:28, 23 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Michele Rocca (footballer)

The article Michele Rocca (footballer) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

I created the original article Michele Rocca (footballer) on 21 September 2015 - see linked section (https://en.wikipedia.org/enwiki/w/index.php?title=User:K%C5%91_Cloch/Michele_Rocca_(footballer)&oldid=682153034) and due to the article failing the Wikipedia:Notability (people) as the player had not played a match at senior level. As a result, the next day Struway2 tagged the article with WP:Notability and contacted me to explain that the article was to be deleted within a week. I queried Struway on whether there was a way I could continue to work on the article but without it being prone to deletion. Struway replied with this - see link to whole discussion on my talk page (https://en.wikipedia.org/enwiki/w/index.php?title=User_talk:K%C5%91_Cloch&action=edit&section=19) I accepted Struway's help in moving the article to my user space, allowing for its deletion in the main space. On 29 September, the page Michele Rocca (footballer) was deleted and I have been since managing it under "User:Kő Cloch/Michele Rocca (footballer)". Now on 14 October, I discover that EdenHazard10 has recreated the article using the remnants of my original and tried to pass it off as theirs, neglecting my draft which I am about to reinstate after the player played his first senior league game for the club! The only sentence that was not written by myself, was He made his Serie A debut at 28 September 2015 against Atalanta B.C.

In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Nomination of Michele Rocca (footballer) for deletion

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Michele Rocca (footballer) is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Michele Rocca (footballer) until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Kő Cloch (talk) 15:19, 15 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The article Borja Mayoral has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. #33 and #40 in french football team

Hello,

You've had, following the yesterday Toulouse Nice, Alban Lafont and Issa Diop in Template:Toulouse FC squad, with their yesterday number #40 and #33.
In fact these number are not really assigned to a player. #33 and #34 are here for casual field players, such as Issa Diop yesterday, and #40 is the same for goalkeeper. It seems unlikely that someone else in the season will wear the #40 (I hope we won't go under the U17 goalkeeper for the main team...) but very likely that the #33 will (and might have already been actually, I haven't take time to check that).
Therefore if another player use the #33 in the season before Diop signs a contract and have a real number for his own, this numbering in the template will raise a (little) problem.

Have a nice day,

A tag has been placed on Cameron Humphreys requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Invite to the African Destubathon

Hi. You may be interested in participating in the African Destubathon which starts on October 15. Africa currently has over 37,000 stubs and badly needs a quality improvement editathon/contest to flesh out basic stubs. There are proposed substantial prizes to give to editors who do the most articles, and planned smaller prizes for doing to most destubs for each of the 53 African countries, so should be enjoyable! So it would be a good chance to win something for improving stubs on African sportspeople, including footballers, athletes, Olympians and Paralympians etc, particularly female ones, but also male. Even if contests aren't your thing we would be grateful if you could consider destubbing a few African articles during the drive to help the cause and help reduce the massive 37,000 + stub count, of which many are rated high importance (think Regions of countries etc). If you're interested in competing or just loosely contributing a few expanded articles on African Paralympians, Olympians and committees etc, please add your name to the Contestants/participants section. Diversity of work from a lot of people will make this that bit more special. Thanks. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:14, 6 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thierry Lutonda moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Thierry Lutonda, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Deletion discussion about Brad Manguelle

Hello Eden10Hazard, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

While your contributions are appreciated, I wanted to let you know that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Brad Manguelle, should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Brad Manguelle.

Deletion discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. Our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. The most common issue in these discussions is notability, but it's not the only aspect that may be discussed; read the nomination and any other comments carefully before you contribute to the discussion. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Miminity}}. And don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Just a word, WP:NFOOTY is obsolete now so a page isn't safe just if the player plays in a professional league. There has to be enough sources to show that the person himself is important per WP:GNG. These sources have to be in-depth (not just Soccerway data) and independent (not a source from his club saying he signed a contract). This is why the Epolo page was drafted even though he is making lots of headlines in Belgium. We have to remember that new page patrollers may have no interest in football and need it spelt out to them why a player is important. Next time, find at least three newspaper/website publications about the player. Can't find them? May be WP:TOOSOON to publish the page. Unknown Temptation (talk) 16:01, 3 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
