Tips
  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Sign your messages with four tildes (~~~~), be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
  • Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Place names at birth or death

Hi. Please note that we state place names as they were at that respective times in historical context.

Information icon Hello, I'm Ab207. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Kajal Aggarwal, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page.
Please don't change surnames of married women without providing sources. There's no rule that a woman should take husband's name.

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Nehru Memorial Museum & Library, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you.-- Toddy1 (talk) 16:34, 25 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from making test edits in Wikipedia pages, such as those you made to Teen Murti Bhavan, even if you intend to fix them later. Your edits had weird features like this and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment again, please use your sandbox. Thank you.-- Toddy1 (talk) 16:34, 25 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use your sandbox for that. Thank you.-- Toddy1 (talk) 16:47, 25 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Your edit to the article on Monica Geller has been reverted. Wikipedia has a policy WP:COMMONNAME, which applies to this and other articles.-- Toddy1 (talk) 16:47, 25 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Your edit to the article on Neerja Bhanot introduced an error into the lead. According your edit, Neerja Bhanot was born Neerja Mishra (that is what née Mishra means). This seems unlikely because her parents were called Bhanot. Your edit also introduced the claim that she had an ex-husband called Naresh Mishra. This claim would need a citation to a reliable source. Your edit made no sense. Competence is required.-- Toddy1 (talk) 16:47, 25 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Sonia Gandhi. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges.
Please stop adding flags to infoboxes in contravention of WP:INFOBOXFLAG - Arjayay (talk) 21:05, 15 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Bombay, Baroda and Central India Railway, you may be blocked from editing. - Arjayay (talk) 21:08, 15 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Inauguration of Joe Biden. PRAXIDICAE💕 14:24, 26 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Venkat TL. An edit that you recently made to Droupadi Murmu seemed to be a test and has been reverted. If you want to practice editing, please use your sandbox. If you think a mistake was made, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! Venkat TL (talk) 08:46, 25 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2022 Elections voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2022 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 12 December 2022. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2022 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:55, 29 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
