Welcome!

Hello, Kittyo, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited was User:Kittyo/sandbox, which appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! -- Marchjuly (talk) 13:46, 9 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Kittyo. I've added the above template after seeing your question at WP:THQ#Help with sandbox and reviewing, also COI declaration. The template contains blue links to some Wikipedia pages that I think you might find helpful. You might also want to take a look at Wikipedia:The answer to life, the universe, and everything, Wikipedia:Notability (people), Wikipedia:An article about yourself isn't necessarily a good thing and Wikipedia:Ownership of content because they explain some things about Wikipedia that you might not know. I realize you're not trying to create an article about yourself, but I think the information found on the "An article about yourself isn't necessarily a good thing" might still be. If after reading these pages, you feel your father is Wikipedia notable enough to have an article written about him and want to try and do so, you might want to take a look at Wikipedia:Your first article as well as ask for help at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Biography/Arts and entertainment or Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Wales since those are two WikiProjects who might be interested in an article about your father. -- Marchjuly (talk) 14:02, 9 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. This is just a note to let you know that I've moved the draft that you were working on to Draft:Cledwyn Hughes, from its old location at User:Kittyo/sandbox. This has been done because the Draft namespace is the preferred location for Articles for Creation submissions. Please feel free to continue to work on it there. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to ask me on my talk page. Thank you. -Liancetalk/contribs 16:23, 9 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Refs problem: The majority of the draft's refs confirm that he wrote those books, but there is next to nothing referenced about him. Essential that there be at least three references which have significant content about him. Refs do not have to be available on line, or in English (but helpful if some are). notice of potential personal bias

Hi, I want to put on record that the subject of this article was my father. Given his publication record in the 1940s-1970s and some recent interest in his work I wanted to create an article in his memory and so that people could find his writing. I found that there was an article on fr.wikipedia in the process, which you may find useful. https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cledwyn_Hughes If you have any additions/changes you could make when you read my article to strengthen it I would be very grateful. And thanks for reading it.
