Copying within Wikipedia

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Jimmy Kimmel Live! into Jimmy Kimmel and Matt Damon feud. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. Politrukki (talk) 15:43, 25 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Your edits

Hi! At Strelets Arab you moved the page number from the second reference (a book) to the first (a website, thus without page numbers); I don't know why you did that, but I've undone it. I've also undone several of your other edits, as they either did not improve the text or indeed made it actively worse. As an example, the first sentence of Ocheyedan River was fine before you edited it, less so afterwards. Do please continue to make useful edits to our project, but – please! – don't fiddle around with other people's text unless you are quite sure that you are making it better. Adding meaningless spacer-words such as "located" is essentially never an improvement. Thanks, Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 16:08, 7 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Mathematics and art template

Hi, thanks for helping with contemporary entries. We do have an issue which is that the number of contemporary artists and artworks is already large, and is growing (exponentially, or something). I don't think we can accommodate many more, however worthy. Maybe you've seen the talk page discussion on the matter. Anyway, best we hold off on the contemporaries until we have a workable plan; just piling on more and more into that section is unbalanced the template. All the best, Chiswick Chap (talk) 18:15, 13 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
