Re:image galleries

Erm, what? No. I will remove images that do not meet our non-free content criteria, and tag them for deletion if appropriate. It is entirely possible an image needs to be removed from one page but not tagged for deletion, for instance. Your request makes little sense- we have policies, if content doesn't meet it, it should be removed, whether there are formal legal requests/deletion requests or not. "The NFCC actually allows for non-free television station logos and non-free images, the exact opposite of what you were saying it did on my talk page" Where did I say that the NFCC do not allow for non-free logos and non-free images? I'm simply saying that certain uses (for example, these uses) do not meet our NFCC. J Milburn (talk) 23:22, 11 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Southeast Michigan Television Reception

Just curious how your summer of TV is going? I have 21 solid stations in Livonia most of the time.

Finally got the antenna up to 20 feet above grade and now WPXD is dropping out. I think it might be a well placed tree branch as it came in fine on the ground. On a good news note I have picked up WLNS from Lansing on and off. WJRT 12 out of Flint, WSMH, WAQP, WLAJ, WTOL and WTVG have also been transient. My antenna is pretty poor for HI VHF so I am thinking of adding a dedicated VHF antenna to solidify the two Toledo stations. My best scan so far has brought about 32 total channels and sub channels digital, not including the canadian stations and low power US stuff. Where you are at are you picking up any additional low power digital? WUDT appears to be on the brink of a changeover to DAYSTAR as they are just showing the WUDT logo. --Suzdrewz (talk) 17:44, 13 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re:admin abuse

No, this isn't admin abuse, it isn't vandalism, and it is not disrupting Wikipedia to make a point. I am not using admin actions (so it is regular abuse at most), I am not deliberately attempting to damage the encyclopedia (so my efforts are misguided at worst) and I have no point to make. Further, I don't remember ever saying I would "stop the removal of pictures from television articles"; and it would be a pretty ridiculous thing to say anyway. All uses of non-free content are legitimate, because these are television articles? Right. You're not going to get anywhere with this kind of abuse; if you want to discuss specific removals, that's fine, but crying for blood is hardly productive. Please update your status with WP:VG

Dear WikiProject Video games member,

You are receiving this message because you have either Category:WikiProject Video games members or {{User WPVG}} somewhere in your userspace and you have edited Wikipedia in recent months.

The Video games project has created a member list to provide a clearer picture of its active membership.

All members have currently been placed in the "Inactive" section by default. Please remove your username from the "Inactive" listing and place it under the "Active" listing if you plan on regularly:

Ideally, members are encouraged to do both, but either one meets our criteria of inclusion. Members still listed inactive at the beginning of November 2009 may be removed. You may re-add yourself to the active list at any time. Thank you for your help, and we look forward to working with you.

Broken Coord

Hi. I'm trying to clear out Category:Coord template needing repair. Your page, User:RingtailedFox, is on it because it has
{{Coor title dms|40|29|99|N|83|03|00|W}}.
Minutes and seconds have to fall in the range of 0–60.

I'm not sure what you were intending to point to, but
{{Coord|40.2999|N|83.0300|W}} 40°18′00″N 83°01′48″W / 40.2999°N 83.0300°W / 40.2999; -83.0300 (40°18′00″N 83°01′48″W / 40.2999°N 83.0300°W / 40.2999; -83.0300)
is a location on Ohio State Route 521, just east of Delaware, Ohio.
—WWoods (talk) 21:31, 26 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

[copied from my Talk page] i was trying to point towards my city hall. i didn't know the coordinates now needed to be in minutes/seconds form instead of decimal form.... i'll remove it immediately so i can fix it RingtailedFox • Talk • Contribs 06:00, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
Coords don't generally have to be in DMS form; they can be in decimal degrees, degrees & decimal minutes, or degrees, minutes & seconds. {{Coord}} can even take DMS or DEC and display it as the other.
If by "my city hall", you meant that of Delaware, OH, Google says it's at 1 S. Sandusky St.

The coords differ slightly from rounding. For a precise location, the decimal degrees are best.)

According to this picture, Windsor City Hall is at 350 City Hall Square West, which would seem to be the building at 42°19′03″N 83°02′07″W / 42.3174°N 83.0352°W / 42.3174; -83.0352 (Windsor City Hall).

K55KN-D listed at Redirects for discussion

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect K55KN-D. Since you had some involvement with the K55KN-D redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion (if you have not already done so). Apparently this tiny repeater has moved to another (lower) channel, no idea which channel and callsign. The channel 55 calls are no longer on the FCC database as a valid station. --66.102.80.212 (talk) 20:24, 21 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Holiday Inn Express Detroit - Downtown, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Holiday Inn Express Detroit - Downtown. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

antenna

All stations from Detroit except the following

-Ion -NBC has disappeared

antenna is inside and ideally it would be on the balcony if i knew how to mount it properly

No distant stations

Only /A\ comes in on analog sometimes, the last few days it has disappeared.

My issue is I am on the North side of my building —Preceding unsigned comment added by Alebowgm (talkcontribs) 20:00, 6 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I was getting NBC till the other day, just haven't even tried to fix it. But I would like to pull in Toledo, Flint or Lansing since all I have for TV is my antenna. Alebowgm (talk) 22:19, 6 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ya, I have done so on the inside of the building where I have it setup with my original CM 7775 preamp. Did a full 360 scan with the antenna and haven't found a sweet spot inside that has ION and the rest of Detroit, or a way to get any of the other surrounding stations Alebowgm (talk) 01:38, 7 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of CKLI-FM

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is CKLI-FM. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/CKLI-FM. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:18, 25 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Truckads.com

Please be aware that this site carries maps that are copyright by Nielsen without permission. Per WP:LINKVIO, we shouldn't be linking to it. Stifle (talk) 22:35, 22 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Truckads.com

ick! if that's the case, the we should remove the links... i don't want to violate any copyrights... though i thouht other sites are okay.. and it's THEIR responsibility to maintain good copyright status, not wikipedia's... our jurisdiction begins and ends at wikipedia.org, right? I'll remove the links to truckads.com wherever they are... RingtailedFoxTalkContribs 04:57, 23 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Our responsibility actually extends beyond Wikipedia; we should not be linking to copyvios (see WP:LINKVIO). Special:Linksearch/*.truckads.com will show you any links left that I haven't removed already. Stifle (talk) 10:31, 23 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Truckads.com

I've brought the issue to the RS/N to let you know. In my opinion the fact that Truckads.com hasnt been sued and shut down or forced to remove the information shows that it probably isnt a copyvio issue, and even if it was that isnt our concern. Being accurate is the only thing that matters, we arent violating any copyright, their DMA information is still being attributed to being theirs.Camelbinky (talk) 21:58, 23 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

No, I just wanted to give you a headsup in case you had an opinion or new facts to shed light on the situation. I have looked at the truckads.com website (I am the one that used it to cite information on three related articles); and contrary to the person who posted on your talk page the maps are in fact made by truckads.com and not copied from any Nielsen website. Just as we are allowed to make maps on Wikipedia of our own based on shading the appropriate counties in order to make a map showing the coverage of a DMA so too can truckads.com. They didnt in fact violate any copyright by simply making maps showing the coverage of Nielsen DMA's. I can make my own map of the DMA and put it on Wikipedia and that wouldnt be a copyvio. I brought the issue to the RS/N so others could take a look at it and give opinions or see something I missed in why it is or isnt a copyvio.Camelbinky (talk) 22:08, 23 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:CHBC-TV old logo.svg

Thanks for uploading File:CHBC-TV old logo.svg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

The article Detroit Harbor Terminals Building has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unnotable building. Claim that it is notable for having an advertisement on its wall is invalid.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -- Collectonian (talk · contribs) 00:05, 23 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading File:SagamoreHill Broadcasting logo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

  • I will remove the request for deletion if the file is used once again.
  • If you received this notice after the image is deleted, and you want to restore the image, click here to file an un-delete request.

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is List of exits on Highway 401 (Ontario). We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of exits on Highway 401 (Ontario) (3rd nomination).

--Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:09, 17 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'd guess from your edit history that you have lost interest in roads as of late, but I thought I would extend the invitation to come join the revived Ontario Roads WikiProject. The new project is focussing heavily on quality instead of quantity, as the old project tended to. Highway 401 is ready for WP:Featured article candidates. removing a Kardashev scale image

Hi, I saw you had the Kardashev scale projections graph linked, and I thought you'd be interested that upon close analysis and definition of the as-yet-undefined plot lines, the graph is basically junk and bad OR, so I'm petitioning to remove it from all articles. Because it's been reproduced online and I think we shouldn't endorse junk, I'd like to ask you to remove it from your mirror page as well. Feel free to comment. I noticed that you uploaded this file (several years ago) claiming that the copyright holder allowed it to be used for any purpose, so long as it was attributed. I can find no evidence of this assertion at the source website. Is there something I'm not seeing? -RunningOnBrains(talk) 08:33, 2 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You are now a Reviewer

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 18:46, 19 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

An Invite to join the Highways WikiProject

- - - - - - - - - - - - WikiProject Highways - - - - - - - - - - - -
Hi, RingtailedFox, you are graciously extended an invitation to join the International Highways WikiProject and its new regional taskforces! The Highways WikiProject is an evolving and expanding WikiProject. We are a group of editors who are dedicated to creating, revising, and expanding articles, lists, categories, and Wikiprojects, or anything related to International Roads. This includes supporting existing regional road WikiProjects and fostering the development of new international highway WikiProjects. We have recently created five regional task forces focused on Europe, Asia, Africa, Oceania and Latin America.

To improve road and highway articles, here are guidelines for B class criteria. Please add any higher GA, FA quality articles to the international roads portal. Also, please help out by inviting new or unfamiliar editors with the Wikipedia:WikiProject Highways/New articles/Invite template.

We look forward to welcoming you to the project!

The article Russell Island Ferry has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Does not meet the WP:GNG.

New Page Triage engagement strategy released

Hey guys!

I'm dropping you a note because you filled out the New Page Patrol survey, and indicated you'd be interested in being contacted about follow-up work. This is to notify you that we've finally released both the initial documentation about the project and also the engagement strategy, which sets out how we plan to work with the community on this. Please give both a read, and leave any comments or suggestions you have on the talkpage, on my talkpage, or in my inbox - okeyes@wikimedia.org.

It's awesome to finally get to start work on this! :). Okeyes (WMF) (talk) 02:12, 3 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Frequency list articles

Just had a chance to look at my watch list for the first time in a couple of days, and I saw a series of edits that you did yesterday to the pages in this series. I wanted to ask if you could hold back on some of the changes you're making.

I've been working over the last while to slowly deprecate the AM and FM templates, for a few reasons. First, there's no reason to have them - for transparency purposes, a bare link that goes directly to the article in question is always better. Second, neither template works correctly, and nobody's stepped forward to try to fix them since they were created more than 3 1/2 years ago. Third, the person who created them has been blocked since that time, another reason they're not being maintained.

I'm not sure why you're adding these back in - I'm guessing consistency. If so, I'd really recommend we go for consistency in the other direction and not use them at all. Ironically, I was just about to step up the pace of the work on getting rid of the templates next week.

Welcome your thoughts. Thanks, Mlaffs (talk) 17:55, 8 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Useful list articles, absolutely agree. The templates, not so much. Maybe if they weren't broken, I could see situations where they'd be good, but not in their current state. I'd absolutely encourage you to keep going with the other edits you were doing on those pages, though - consistency clean-up that's been needed for a long time. Mlaffs (talk) 18:17, 8 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Honestly, don't know - any template coding I've done has been mimicking the setup of other templates that do the same thing I'm trying to achieve.
I think the real problem is that the premise of the templates is flawed. The FM template, for example, presumes that radio stations on the FM band use the 'XXXX-FM' format for their call sign. While that's true for all stations in Canada, it's not for the United States. Some U.S. stations are 'XXXX-FM', some are just 'XXXX'. Even if the station is 'XXXX', the Wikipedia article might be 'XXXX (FM)' because of the need to disambiguate with something else. Protocol for a station that's 'XXXX' or 'XXXX (FM)' is that a redirect from 'XXXX-FM' should be created, but there's sometimes a historical 'XXXX-FM' that already exists as a redirect to another article. The way the template is coded, once it finds 'XXXX-FM', it assumes that it's found the correct article and displays that one, which may not be true. If it doesn't find a 'XXXX-FM', then it looks for a 'XXXX (FM)', which again may or may not be valid, or could perhaps be a redirect to the right article.
Instead, if we always just use the link to the correct article, then there's no chance of anything going wrong, yeah? Mlaffs (talk) 18:51, 8 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Um, just noticing you're still adding in more usages of that template. Mlaffs (talk) 19:19, 8 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Just a heads up that you need to be careful as you're removing those templates - you're ending up introducing a lot of links to disambiguation pages, rather than linking to the correct articles. I've cleaned up behind you thus far, but if you could watch going forward, that'd be great. You have to check each link individually - on the AM stations, sometimes the correct article is at 'XXXX' and sometimes it's at 'XXXX (AM)'. Mlaffs (talk) 00:52, 12 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Why wasn't the Joplin Tornado of 2011 mentioned???

Joplin Tornado of 2011

Joplin population is approximately 50,175 per(2010 Census) Joplin, Missouri was hit by an EF-5 Tornado on May 22, 2011. It was noted as the deadliest single tornado in the country since 1947 and the ninth-deadliest tornado of all time, and you didn't even mention it. Emergency officials said 116 people were killed and about 400 were injured. According to local officials many had massive internal injuries. I think you should revise your article to include the horrific Joplin tornado.

WGTE-TV often fades out during storms and cold weather (and we in Windsor have been dealing with both for a few days)... as well, we have CIII-DT-29 in Sarnia on the same frequency (UHF 29) to deal with, and that has disrupted WGTE for most viewers in the Leamington and Tilbury areas. File permission problem with File:53185dmg2.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:53185dmg2.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. B (talk) 12:01, 26 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:CKCK-TV.jpg)

Thanks for uploading File:CKCK-TV.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:03, 12 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for an image

Hi I have been using your Quebec_City Windsor Corridor image and I'm now trying to figure out how to produce a high res version for a book on Northern Ontario. I also wanted to give appropriate credit, which is why this little stalkers note. So thanks for contributing the image. The article Channel 18 has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

DAB page points to one article and two Category: pages. The article has a hatnote redirecting to both categories.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Replaceable fair use File:Internet Explorer 3.0 banner.gif

Thanks for uploading File:Internet Explorer 3.0 banner.gif. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rezonansowy (talk • contribs) 12:24, 24 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination for deletion of Template:Roads in Essex County, Ontario

Template:Roads in Essex County, Ontario has been nominated for deletion. You are invited to comment on the discussion at the template's entry on the Templates for discussion page. Floydian τ ¢ 06:22, 14 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Windsor Family Credit Union requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from https://www.wfcu.ca/Personal/AboutUs/MediaCentre/CorporateReportsAndBackgrounder/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Weatheradio Canada, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Atlantic Coast. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Proposed deletion of Mark Ballou

The article Mark Ballou has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

IMDB shows only minor uncredited roles. Voice acting mentioned in article is insufficient for notability.

CFLA-TV

Hi RingtailedFox, I have a question on the page you created for CFLA-TV in Goose Bay, Labrador: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CFLA-TV

Prior to 1973, programming was shipped to station CFLA from both the CBC and AFTRS. With no roads at that time it must have been flown in. Would you know from where the CBC material was flown in from and what was the delay? My guess is that in 1965 CFLA was receiving its CBC programming with a delay of 5 weeks.

Would you also know how the CBC material was returned to the CBC? Possibly it was flown back, perhaps via Montreal. Possibly some of the CBC material was sent to CBC affilate station CJCL-TV in Labrador City which was started in August 1965 and was built by the Iron Ore Company of Canada but managed by the CBC.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Fancy polling?

Hi RingtailedFox, I came across your account in the list of admin hopefuls - could I persuade you into creating a poll at the optional RfA candidate poll? I think you're at the point where a 2016 nomination is pretty likely -- samtar whisper 13:54, 17 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
