Sandboxes
I am aware of these rules, but I'm not sure where you are talking about. I don't think my sandboxes have any such thing now.--CallMeNathan • Talk2Me 01:53, 1 May 2011 (UTC)

interview request
Hello, My name is Natalia Olaru and I am a final year master student in the Corporate Communication programme at the Aarhus School of Business in Denmark. I am currently working on my final paper on the topic of the motivation of users to create content on collaborative media websites, the focus being Wikipedia. As a sample I chose the English and Danish portals. I would like to invite you for an online interview on the topic of what motivates you, as a user, to participate in editing and creating articles for this platform. Your real identity, and wikipedia account will be kept confidential through the paper. I plan on doing the actual interviews in the period between 6st and the 15th of May via Skype, MSN, Google Talk or Yahoo Messenger. I am, however, open to other channels of communication too. Please let me know if you would like to participate in this interview and the preferred channel. Thank you, Natalia Olaru Email: natalia.ioana.olaru@gmail.com --MulgaEscu (talk) 12:59, 3 May 2011 (UTC)
- Sorry, I'm quite busy these days, you're probably best finding someone else. [stwalkerster|talk] 23:54, 7 May 2011 (UTC)
The guide currently says, "if an account of the exact user name requested exists on any other language Wikipedia and has more than 0 edits, it should be declined as Taken." In the past, I had created user names that existed on other wiki(s) and had edited there but not in several years (e.g., last edit in 2006). Does this mean that, say, someone requesting user name X on enwp cannot have it because someone on dewiki created it five years ago and made one edit, or is there any flexibility here, in your opinion? /ƒETCHCOMMS/ 21:58, 7 May 2011 (UTC)
- I personally take a degree of flexibility in the requirements based on what level of time has passed - the more time, the more flexible. The guide is a guide, and (mostly) isn't set in stone, just remember to leave comments explaining your thinking so others can understand if you do deviate from the guide :) [stwalkerster|talk] 23:57, 7 May 2011 (UTC)
- IAR, then, as I thought. Thanks, cheers. /ƒETCHCOMMS/ 22:44, 8 May 2011 (UTC)

Cathedral of faith
Hi, a while ago I tried to de-orphan Cathedral of Faith as part of that I found 3 refs one I added into the article stright away. The other two I put on my user page for next time I wanted to edit Cathedral of faith. I see its been deleted. Would you please have a look at my sources below and see if it worth me working on the article in my sand box or not?
Thanks Blackash have a chat 12:56, 10 May 2011 (UTC)
Hi
Hi, is it possible to semiprotect talk pages? In Talk:Scott Disick IPs are vandalizing, since the article was semiprotected.--Jcaraballo (talk) 00:19, 11 May 2011 (UTC)
- Might be worth taking it to WP:RFPP - the answer imho is yes, but the protection policy says both article and talk shouldn't be protected at the same time, so I'd rather defer this to someone who's more experienced with protection. :) [stwalkerster|talk] 00:27, 11 May 2011 (UTC)
You previously deleted this cat. Is it OK to re-create it with the article Athassel Priory? The article currently exists in Category:Archaeological sites in County Tipperary. That is the only article in the cat. The County Tipperary cat should either be deleted or become a container cat for the counties of North Tipperary and South Tipperary. Eirther way, there's no reaosn not to havea South Tipp cat. Thanks. Laurel Lodged (talk) 21:34, 13 May 2011 (UTC)
- Feel free to, go ahead, do what you think is best, etc. :) It was deleted cos it was a broken redirect, so do what you want with it. :) [stwalkerster|talk] 22:35, 13 May 2011 (UTC)

VPT - watchlist emails
Hi, thanks for your help at VPT. I wanted to help amend the message, but I couldn't work out what you were suggesting I do with that link and template. Sorry... I'm not so tech-savvy. --Dweller (talk) 16:18, 18 May 2011 (UTC)
- Hey - don't be sorry :P
- The {{editprotected}} template is used to request administrators make a change to a fully-protected page. Generally what you'd do is suggest your changes on the talk page, and add the editprotected template, which would alert admins.
- Unfortunately, the email that's sent out is split into several messages, so you'll need to figure out which you want changing, and suggest changes appropriately.
- Does that make more sense? [stwalkerster|talk] 16:39, 18 May 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks... I have admin rights, so editing a protected template's not a problem, but I'd like consensus and some other eyes in case I make things worse. Maybe I'll seek some help at VPT. Thanks again. --Dweller (talk) 08:45, 19 May 2011 (UTC)

Janet Gordon-Lennox, Countess of March and Kinrara
Janet Gordon-Lennox, Countess of March and Kinrara was validly and appropriately deleted - the protest came on IRC from a confirmed troll, and the appropriate reaction regardless of trolling is to direct them to DRV, not to restore the article because it was contested after it had been deleted. Ironholds (talk) 15:50, 23 May 2011 (UTC)
- Firstly, they didn't appear to be trolling to me. Secondly, yes it was validly and appropriately deleted as a PROD, which can be contested at any time by anyone, even after deletion. It was contested, so I undeleted it. WP:DRV is not the appropriate venue for contesting prods anyway - they should go to WP:REFUND, but since contested prods are restored on request anyway, I see little point in forcing someone who appeared to be a newbie to go via unneeded process just for the hell of it. If you want it to be deleted again, the I suggest you take it to AFD. [stwalkerster|talk] 16:09, 23 May 2011 (UTC)

AN/I
I have made a comment concerning your deletion of Clifford Kubiak at WP:AN/I, [3]. You'll probably want to comment. DGG ( talk ) 05:58, 26 May 2011 (UTC)
- In response to your (Stwalkerster's) comment on the ANI thread, yes, there are probably a whole lot more of these unwritten rules about CSD. In general, I wouldn't worry too much about them, except to err on the side of sending it to PROD or AfD in borderline cases. Keep in mind, as well, that those of us who frequent WT:CSD tend to be of a very inclusionist bent when it comes to CSD itself, so take my advice with a grain of salt.
- I apologize if my comment added to your stress; I was just trying to point out a trend that I've seen there, especially since it seemed relevant. I don't fault you for deleting the page, even if others would not have, because it was, honestly, not terribly useful for writing a real biography on the man. I'm sorry that you feel like you're being hung out to dry here, I did not mean anything by my comment.
- Anyways, I hope the rest of your day gets better. If all else fails, there're some nice dubstep remixes of Zelda songs on youtube. Cheers. lifebaka++ 17:00, 26 May 2011 (UTC)
- It's not you that's stressed me out, don't worry about that. I've decided to take a break from it all anyway, and am playing minecraft :P [stwalkerster|talk] 17:04, 26 May 2011 (UTC)
