ICC Philippines

Hi!

I have temporarily commented our your addition of the Philippines (I will, however, add the ratification in the States Parties article). I did this because the signing of the instrument of ratification is obviously not the same as deposition of that instrument with the United Nations Secretary General. Only this deposition makes a state party a state party. Furthermore, even if the deposition took place today, the Statute would enter into force for the Philippines only on 1 November 2011 (26 August + 60 days = 25 October, next first day of month is 1 November) not on 1 October as you wrote. You are very welcome to add the Philippines (or to remove the commenting out of your addition) once the instrument of ratification has been deposited with the UNSG. Thank you very much anyway for your contribution towards the ICC articles. --EBB (talk) 21:59, 26 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, once again me. Just realized that you had already added the ratification at the States Parties article. Best regards. --EBB (talk) 22:00, 26 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article Philippines, please cite a reliable source for your addition. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. See Wikipedia:Citing sources for how to cite sources, and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. See this edit, adding an assertion which contradicted information in the cited supporting source. Wtmitchell (talk) (earlier Boracay Bill) 23:18, 2 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
